It warms my heart to see governors doing their part in stopping big government from forcing their standards onto everyone. Gov. DeSentis in Florida is doing his part to prevent draconian school boards and local counties from shoving mask mandates down our throats.

but we can't let details like those overshadow the bigger picture, which is our liberty.

Let's let parents decide if they want their children to have masks. It is too much of a burden to expect all parents to switch schools or homeschool because they don't want their child to wear a mask.
On the other hand, parents who don't want their kids to get sick ought to just change schools or homeschool. Same thing for teachers, if they don't want to be subjected to other sick people they ought to just find a new job.
If some kids or teachers or relatives of those kids etc. get put on a ventilator because some other kids don't feel like wearing masks, tough. They need to drag themselves up by their bootstraps and get better. Who are they to impose selfish mask restrictions onto other poor children just for their safety?
