Have you considered doing so, dear? Your profile pictures shows you to be perfectly healthy for an older woman, and while you may naturally be tired out from the day and ready for supper and retirement at 4:30, surely there is time earlier in which you can impress upon your children the importance of reading and obeying the Holy Word of God. I find a few whapps upside the head with the larger family leather bound Bible to be sufficient in catching the attention of the sleeping child, whether he is aged four or twenty-four. No doubt your daughters in law would understand if they were awoken to hear their husbands roused from sleep only to find the source of their unexpected headache was their own loving mother standing at their bedside just before dawn. After all, you're just doing your duty to teach your children to be mindful and not ignore the commands of their own parents lest their own blood be upon them (Deuteronomy 21:18-19).
This is very good insight. Thank you, m'am.

While I wouldn't jump into that, ultimately your choice is to receive your sinful children, or be received by the LORD (2 Corinthians 6:17). You cannot have it both ways.
And that's why I don't bother to touch them unless I know they are strictly practicing their education under the supervision of their husband and Lord. The Great Life Giver knows I never touch Jennifer.

Why do they not hit it off? Is she incapable of serving him a refreshing drink and a little snack while he impresses you with his ability to protect and provide for a growing family? Is she too ugly for them to stick around? Is your husband looking in the wrong places for a suitable match?
I never understand Jennifer. I think she's hiding something from everyone, but I keep faith that He will draw her back to family and Jesus.

It seems these forum pages will be the best thing that has ever happened to my family. My husband agrees, and God has told us through the book that you are correct.

We will lay down this revelation at our next family reunion. I will abstain on their visits until then. I have a feeling Jennifer is going to be leaving the family.

Welcome to you then, Sister Mrs. George Franklin. It is not often that a newcomer brings to us a complete list of begats with their introduction. That is quite a refreshing change. Tell us more of your adventures with Jesus.

Wonderful news! Praise the Lord! I am so glad the Lord can use me to help create one more Bible-abiding family! I warn you it will be painful, but it is worth it; after all, Salvation is the most valuable thing in the world! Hebrews 12:6

          Joyously yours in Christ,

            Dear wonderful saved people,

Our next family reunion is naturally around the corner with it being Thanksgiving soon. The ENTIRE extended family will be visiting, and I'll be laying down HIS law (my husband's and my God's). I'll let you honest bunch know how it goes.

            Most Rejuvenated,

            Mrs. George Franklin

              Mrs. Franklin, my dear,

You will be laying down the law? Shouldn't that be your husband, because he is head of the household and your head. Thus, your job would be to support him by nodding, being obedient, and then enforcing his rules on the children.

              YiC,
              Elizabeth
