    Thank you for having me

I was born in a small TX town and moved around some as a child. I was raised in the Baptist faith. Attended church every Wed and Sunday. I have fallen away from the Church for many years. I'm more about Faith than organized religion. As far as a favorite Bible verse, I really don't think I have one. There are so many. How can you narrow down the word of God to one single verse. Perhaps the True Christians here can help me find one. A good evening to you all.
Deuteronomy 18:20 King James Version (KJV)
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

    Welcome
At least you're polite, unlike most of the scum who wander in here.
How about Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Because it reminds us all that liars are as offensive as murderers and witches.

Give us, Barabbas, just one verse that moves you. It may be one of many, but it will help us to know you.

Tell us of your walk with Jesus. When were you saved? What kind of revolver do you favor? Have you sons?

      God Bless!

Thank you Brother Jim. That is indeed a very good verse and a valuable lesson as well. I will most definitely keep that one in mind.

I was saved at the age of 12 in a small, rural Baptist church in NC. I held Bible study with the other children as well as some adults to try to lead them to Jesus...I was much more versed in God's word then than I am now. God has not blessed me with any children yet. I actually prefer semi-automatics over revolvers.

Hello Barabbas. I pray that your name is not a sly allusion to preferential treatment at the hands of Joos.

No. Not at all Brother Zechariah. It's a reminder that the filthy Joos killed our Lord, Jesus.

Re: Thank you for having me

                Hello, Mr. Barabbas

How nice of you to diverge from your undoubtedly busy Christmas schedule and pay a visit to God's Favorite Forum.

I have some suggestions to you regarding uplifting verses.

                Leviticus 19:36
Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

...and this one has nice connotations to Exodus 3:14 that I dare quote only on very special occasions! Perhaps this could become one of your favorites, too? It leads the sinner (such as you as of now) nicely into the emotion of fear; thus the sinner dwells on his former sins in a healthy way that can lead to repentance and eventually being re-born as a Saved person with Godly manners and immaculate conduct fulfilling all the commandments of God, sometimes excruciating but always to out benefit.

As for guns. Winchester 1897. Always.

                2 Corinthians 10:4
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds
                ;)

                Yours in Christ,

                Elmer
2 Kings 18:25 - Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

Thank you so much Brother Elmer. Although my schedule is a bit full, what is Christmas without Christ. As soon as I can free up more time I intend to take advantage of the "Bible in a year" section you have here to try and get back "up to speed" as it were. Thank you for starting me off with some wonderful verses. Do you prefer 12 or 16 gauge in your Winchester?

I'd be wary of this fellow, brother Elmer...he has a lot of cheek asking such personal questions. I wouldn't tell anyone but Christ Himself the girth of the round I prefer in my chamber...

Wecome Bob. While it is nice to hear a yarn, tell us, what do you plan to do for Jesus? If not for Him, He would never of had your mother get conceived. It is after all one of the miracles God does.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
