Only the Good Lord knows if I'm truly saved of course, but I do like to flatter myself (without excess pride!) that I am.

As to my want of Biblical literacy .... I can only repeat that I have a good overview, and know some of the important points made by our Lord and Saviour. I hope this will be enough to at least start my journey with your community. I'm tired of listening to so called Christians talk about evolution as though it were true. I'm tired of seeing the adult children of Christian friends take up amplified musical instruments yet not using them to produce Christian Rock.
I'm tired of seeing otherwise Good Christians neglecting grace in deference to the presence at table of an atheist ..... etc etc. I need a community who takes God seriously.

Denying people the right to possess and read Bibles was practiced by Catholics at one time, so I question whether it is a good idea. In any case, here at Landover Baptist Church everybody must read the entire KJV Bible -constantly. You will find that it contains brilliant wisdom about the treatment of homosexuals, disobedient children, adulterers and others deserving of capital punishment. The Bible is a book that teaches us to be merciful to our slaves by beating them without knocking out their eyes or teeth. I don't see how a modern person could function without the teachings of God.

You make an excellent case for the immediate purchase of a KJV, Sir.

I have only one slave (a 'celestial', as Al Swearingen would say), but a good grounding in Biblical conditioning would still be very useful. And help with kids is always welcome

Apologies to me are unimportant. It is our LORD you offend, knave. We reached out in the love of Christ only to find that now you allow the demonic strains of some pop rock band into your home? Are you aware of the fact that the bass in non-Christian music affects your cerebrospinal fluid, causing it to gyrate and fool your body into thinking it is engaging in the marital act? We have medical doctors and psychologists here that can explain it far better than I, but aren't you concerned about your cerebrospinal fluid?

If your car suddenly sent all its brake fluid to the headlights, making them think they were brakes and therefore they stopped working, would you be happy? No - you'd head to a mechanic. Well, in this case, JESUS is the mechanic you need. Let His sweet music flow through you in love and forgiveness and renounce the minions of the devil that are trying to enter your nether regions. You may think me a foolish woman, but others here will back me up on this - and then you'll feel like the foolish one. Come out of the darkness and find the warm, soothing light of our Lord. This is the ideal weekend to die to sin and be reborn in Jesus. Not a physical death, but the death of darkness, which is replaced by soothing peace and cleansing of the spirit.

I can only protest, in my defence, that Stryper are a Christian band. And I'm fairly confident they've never sent anyone's s#x juices on a wild goose chase. At least I can't imagine anyone having such a response to them, or their music. Praise the Lord.

But I do see your point, and will spend a few hours in contemplation of my path. Bless your heart.

Thank you, good lady. I've never thought Stryper could show me the way. Or any way, for that matter. I simply revel in Christian Rock, when possible. It tells of love of the Lord in a Youthful and Now voice, but has the edge smoothed off to avoid incitement of unbridled feelings. Why, I can attend such a 'gig', and not once find a toe tapping of its own volition ... that's what I call a safety dance!

While the results of investigations are held on a need to know basis by the Investigations Ministry, I don't think I need to actually read the report to know that the investigation of this man is going badly. As always, I was hopeful when this man appeared, but even then there were red flags. I believe this man is on the road to perdition and has just stopped by to make sport of us as he passes.
