    Mr or Mrs. Acts 2,

You should start your own "thread". If you click into the Introductions Forum, look for this button in the mid-upper left. This will allow you to choose a title, enter your own name etc. You can do this, I have faith in you! And you can tell us if you are a woman or a man, if you have a stupid blog, stuff like that. Good luck!

I did not have a KJV 1611 when I arrived, so I went to Barnes and IgNoble to purchase one. The filth on those shelves!!! They even had a Comparative Religion Section! I recommend you stay locked up tightly in your home until you are sufficiently girded against to Worldliness that surrounds us ALL. Order your Bible online from one of the many Christian websites. And don't talk to the delivery driver when he arrives. You can never be too careful!
The Word of God can be had for free if you just visit your local Independant Baptist Church and ask the Pastor for one. Make sure you ask specifically for a KJV1611 Authorized Version Bible.

Also you can read one online at www.biblegateway.com. And for your assisted reading pleasure, Brother V has got a wonderful thread going HERE called "Bible in a Year."

Ashley! Thank you so much for visiting our little community-- I'm sure you'll fit right in.

As an (ex) healthcare worker, I'm curious about how you plan to respect God's law regarding working on the Sabbath.

(As you might guess, that's why I'm no longer in the field-- it turns out that the field is dominated by God-haters who frown on giving double doses of anti-arrythmics on Saturday.)

    Re: Greetings

Thank you very much for the welcoming, Pastor, and for the wonderful advice. For the moment I am unmarried with no children. (Had a very protective and intimidating father growing up, and am just now getting onto my own feet.) So I am currently independent. My hopes are that once I've become saved, that God will bless me with a supportive husband.

Welcome young lady, to God's favorite forum. I'm sorry you haven't gotten much of a warm reception, but I'm here now to guide you.

You should start off with THIS thread, which is specifically designed for new posters. Also THIS is a summary of our beliefs.

The Word of God can be had for free if you just visit your local Independent Baptist Church and ask the Pastor for one. Make sure you ask specifically for a KJV1611 Authorized Version Bible.

Also you can read one online at www.biblegateway.com. And for your assisted reading pleasure, Brother V has got a wonderful thread going HERE called "Bible in a Year." You can start there if you like. The accompanying commentaries are excellent.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Be sure that you ignore any advice offered by folks labeled as "unsaved trash," as they will steer you down the path to eternal damnation just for the sport of it (I'm looking at YOU Rachael VanHellbound ). Also, feel free to contact me privately by clicking on my email link at the bottom of my signature. Confidentiality is 100% guaranteed.

Please tell us more about yourself. How many Christian children do you have? What kind of work does your Godly husband do?

    I'll be praying for you.

Why be christian at all? There are many more peaceful beliefs if you want spirituality.

Well, it just doesn't feel right for me anymore. And I've tried other forms of Christianity...they seem like they've tailored to the religion to what they -want- it to be, which doesn't make me feel safe at all. I'd rather do what God wishes me to do than what I want to do...
