Hi there

So before I say anything else, I would just like to mention that I am a "beginner christian", if that is a correct term.
I have just bought myself a bible. (Yes, that's how I got onto this site). But I am here for...well. Not therapy I guess. But look. You'll see.

My name is Jaspar Gray. I am a 19 year old male, living in Australia. I have managed to get into a good acting course at a good university.

Now here lies the problem, or situation, that I'm in. I live with my boyfriend, who's also 19. I love him with all of my heart.

I have been looking into religion lately, because I believe that I am old enough to make my own decisions regarding my personal life. So yes, I'm gay, and I'm looking to become a Christian.

People have rejected me through social media and real life, about my sexuality, who I love and the way I live. Gay marriage is not yet legalized in Australia, and I'm hoping it gets legalized sooner rather than later, because my boyfriend has promised to propose as soon as it's legal.

I have some questions that I would love for some of you to answer;
Can I be a christian even though I'm gay?
How should I start reading the Bible?
Is being gay, wrong? If so, could you help me understand?

I really don't know where I stand with much, but I would really appreciate your help. Thank you so so much

Not the right place to ask those questions. These people will stone gays to death as they are the spawn of evil and do not accept any love or faith you offer them or offer God. Please leave these forums now and go to a real Christian forum otherwise you will be harassed relentlessly.

Are you mentally disabled? I was about to welcome you with open arms till I saw that blunder. Bible is spelled with a capitalized B.

I'm incredibly sorry. I made a silly mistake. My boyfriend actually said it was spelt with a capital letter but I disregarded his opinion. I won't make that mistake again. What exactly would you say if you prayed for me? Could you give me ideas so I can pray for myself?

Yes, go ahead, send me to Hell. You can't send me to something I don't believe in! I will die and my body will be donated to a hospital so people needing an organ donor can have my organs as I will no longer be needing them, since I will be dead. I am helping people survive even after death. I will not be going to Hell or Heaven because such a place doesn't exist. It doesn't exist underground or in the clouds. Have you seen pictures taken of the Earth from astronauts and radars? It proves 2 things; the Earth is ROUND not FLAT and there is no Heaven to be seen. If it Heaven is invisible to people who are alive, then you have no proof.

When we pray for a sinner, we ask the Lord to deliver them into the arms of Jesus and lead them away from their life of sin and debauchery. This is our work as Christians. Usually, it does no good and God gets them by and by and sends them to Hell. If I was you, I would pray that the Lord prevent me from following my unnatural desires even if He had to harm me to stop my sin. A broken arm or two is nothing compared to an eternity in Hell. I would ask Him to scald the sin from my body and lead me unto Jesus for righteousness sake.

Secondly, I don't understand...doesn't God love everyone for who they are? He created us after all...

I agree that you will likely never see Heaven, but it is there. I will see it one day and I will watch you writhe and shudder in the fiery pit for sport. The proof of Heaven can be found easily by anyone who seeks it. It is in the scriptures by God's own plan. We can't see it, but we know it's there. We can't see the hole in the needle to put the thread through, but we know there's one there and our faith has us stick the thread end where we know it is. It's the same with God. You have to have faith.

Sins can be forgiven, don't apologize to me, apologize to God.

I will pray that you un-Gay yourself. Being a homosexual is a form of addiction, and I firmly believe this bad habit can be broken with enough power and love.

Have you been Baptized yet? Many of my former gay friends (now 100% gay free) have been Baptized and each and everyone has commented on how they felt the gayness "wash away". A true Christian must be baptized.

You should repent to God for the inhumane acts you have probably performed on a gender of the same sex, and most importantly, get Baptized!

Okay that wasn't very nice. But really, you are both being rude. Just, stop. Everyone is equal. Right?
