Re: Greetings from NY City
Mazel tov Hezekiah - we here all agree that there were good times back there in the OT. Yahweh really kicked butt when it came to His "chosen people" and the "promised land".
I'm sure it wasn't a pleasant life building those pyramids for the pharaohs - and Yahweh's "angel of death" thing did the trick, along with Moses parting the waters and all that - Glory! Helping clear out the "promised land" of all those inconvenient savages was some pretty awesome stuff, and in today's "political correctness" it would be called "genocide" - but Yahweh promised the land of milk and honey and He certainly delivered.
As a matter of fact, you guys still celebrate that "Passover" thing even today - but don't you think it's getting a little outdated? I mean really, some smoked BBQ baby back pork ribs would be great instead of that disgusting gefilte fish.
I realize that you were looking for a different kind of "Messiah" - one that would kick some ass just like the good old days. I'm surprised that your kind didn't take up with Mohammed back there in the 7th Century - he had a good run there for awhile.
Once Jesus came along it looks like things took a turn for the worse for your kind. I'm sure it was hard getting used to Jesus kicking all the money changers from the Temple - you guys were quite good at it, and no doubt there is a need for international currency arbitrage in any Capitalist economy. Jesus was more like Teddy Roosevelt - He spoke softly and carried a big stick.
It's time to move on there Hezekiah, and get with Jesus. The "promised land" is now the Godly Christian USofA, and the Republican Party. You need to stop supporting all the LIEberals - and let's face it, your women are all loud, obnoxious, and boisterous - like Bella Abzug. I see you all eyeing our blond blue-eyed shiksas, and Jesus knows how to keep them quiet and obedient.
So come on over, there is nothing like the smell of bacon and eggs in the morning - infinitely preferable to those matzo balls. And then there is that little thing known as Salvation® - Jesus died for your sins as well, and He forgives you for killing Him.
