  • Hello Everyone!

Hello everyone.I've been browsing on these forums for almost an hour and figured that it'd be a good idea to create an account and join in on discussions.

My name is Emma and I currently live in Plymouth with my two children and husband. I don't attend church at the moment but I'm hoping to join a church in the near future.
I've been raised in a wonderful Christian household and therefore have always believed in good Christian values.

I hope to engage in the forums, have a lovely day!

Welcome then, Wraune. Do you have your husband's permission to participate here?

He isn't as invested in Christianity as I am and would likely not be interested in this site, sadly.

        So....basically you're husband doesn't know you're here?

Aareet bonny lass! We always try to welcome people in their own tongue, and I noticed that when you registered earlier today your profile said you lived in Newcastle. Congratulations on the move to Plymouth.

Obviously you should have your husband's permission to be here, even if he is not a Christian. How else can you expect to steer him in the direction of Jesus? 1 Peter 3:1 is perfectly clear on the matter.

There is something very disturbing about this whole situation. How can you go behind your husband's back and hide important matters from him? The Lord has placed him over you as your master. It is your duty to follow his directions. Also, I note that you are from Plymouth. Presumably, you refer to the Plymouth in Massachusetts. That is an area known to be infested with witches and Democrats. If you are in England, it could be even worse. The biggest festival of the year for the unsaved is tomorrow and here you are. This is definitely food for thought.

                Thank you for the welcome!
I felt uncomfortable with revealing my location when I registered, but there's a rather nice sense of anonymity on here so I decided to correct it.

In regards to my husband, I'm hoping to gradually increase his belief in the Lord.

My husband and I respect each other and appreciate that we have our own separate lives. As I've only just registered for this site, I do not view it as something highly important that I need to inform him of.

I live in Plymouth, England and my family will not be celebrating Halloween.

By failing to be honest with him? Do please let us know how that goes.

So, tell us all about your life, your 3 children and (most important of all) your Walk with Christ.

Yes, he should! How can you truly submit to him if you don't know his wishes? How can you know his wishes if you don't give him the information he needs to tell you what to do, or consequently, discipline you if go against his wishes?

You see, the Holy Bible tells us we women serve God by serving our husbands (Ephesians 5:22). If you truly wish to avoid an eternity of pain and suffering, you'll do what Jesus, through Peter, tells you to do. (1 Peter 3:1–6).
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

My husband and I are honest with each other and have a perfectly happy relationship, but we do not feel the need to share every detail of our lives. I'm not sure whether I'll continue to use this site and therefore do not feel the need to tell him of it.

As far as my life goes, it's not an extremely eventful one, but definitely a fulfilling one. I grew up in Surrey, England and attended Saint Nicolas Church with my parents. After moving to Plymouth at the age of 13, my family stopped attending church regularly and I lost touch with my faith in that time. My faith has been very 'casual' (if that would be a correct term to use) from that point on. I've attended multiple churches since then but I've been unable to commit. I feel ashamed to admit that, but it's true. I'm looking to properly re-discover my faith.
I have two children; Oliver, age 10 and Mary, age 6.

If I decide to use this site more then I wouldn't hesitate to tell him of it and possibly encourage him to join, but at the moment, I see no need for that.

Well you're just a cheeky little strumpet, aren't you? Thank you for taking the time out of your lonely, boring day to share with us your opinion that you don't really love Jesus and don't care for our company.

This is why unsaved aren't welcome here. They just come and break our hearts.

Sister Mary, can we give this person another chance? As a fellow-Brit, albeit not as disadvantaged, I think I may understand some of her problems.

I also spent some time in Surrey as a child - in the inland island of Byfleet. I assume from the spelling of Nicolas you were raised in Cranleigh? So you were brought up as a pseudo-Catholic, in a system where the queen of England takes the place of the pope, but everything else is much the same.

No great loss, really. It's difficult to use the terms CofE and Faith in the same sentence, isn't it?

Well, you have come to the right place. Welcome again!!!!

I assume that Oliver was named after Cromwell, the Lord Protector of the Commonwealth - further evidence that you are no supporter of monarchy and its evil influence!

I hope we will become great friends, dear, and look forward to getting to know you better.
