Explain to me...

I am a hard boned Atheist looking for some views of other people.

The basis of religion is to have an eternal life of greatness or something along those lines. To do that you have to accept and spread said "God's" beliefs and teachings found in a book. When you read and follow all things said in that book, then you are a clone of said God and all of his/her followers. Is this GENERALLY right about all religions? If not please enlighten me.


If your only goal is to enter this "eternal life of greatness by spreading his/her teachings", when why not accept these and hope to die immediately? Why care about anyone or anything after you tried your best to convert them? Why have a family when it takes time instead of converting other people? When you reach an old age and you are on your death bed, why not kill your entire family to take them with you to "heaven".


If that is not your only goal, then why spend all your time going to church and studying the bible? Why not try to make THIS LIFE the best life? What if this life you have right now IS heaven? Why try to censor people and things if they don't align with your views when they can only help broaden and advance your culture and well being as a person?

Mr. Joe, we do appreciate your good manners. Sadly, Jesus won't take them into consideration when He decides about your final dwelling place.

Now, to answer your uneducated but still valid questions:

Because God commands us to fear and obey Him (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

Job 14:5
Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

You see, God decides the number of our days, it would be a trespass to change that although I do long for the day when I can discard this repulsive flesh and be with Jesus for ever every day 24/7! The same applies to our family members and even to vile atheists.

Why have a family?! Because God tells us to procreate!

Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Matthew 19:5
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

...why spend all your time going to church and studying the bible? Why not try to make THIS LIFE the best life? What if this life you have right now IS heaven? Because this Life is NOT the best life!

Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And because of our Love towards the sinner, the atheist. We try to get as many of them as possible to join us and spend the Eternity in the Good Life with us in Heaven. God tells us that this life is not Heaven. It's very simple and you don't have to go very far in the Bible to find that out!



Genesis 3:19
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Please compare that to the glorious vision of Jesus feeding you for ever!

Revelation 7:17
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

All True Christians™ want the Rapture to happen, because that would mean they won.

There are many religions on earth (about 5 or 6 major ones, and thousands of others). Each one of these religions has their own idea of Heaven and Hell. Since each one has their own version, does that mean that they all have their own heavens and gods? Does the bible tell you to dismiss them?

It's called pro-creation because God is the creator and we are just part of the process. Having a child means co-creating another soul to glorify God.


Even Catholics understand that, and they believe all sorts of nonsense that's not in the Bible. I accept only the nonsense that's IN the Bible. That's because it's only non-sense because human minds have trouble making sense of it. But God knows.

We have no reason to doubt that demons have seduced people many, many times in the past by appearing before them as false gods. These false deities may have elaborately constructed texts and rituals but the Bible that is by definition True™ (Psalms 12:6), warns us against them!

Leviticus 19:4
Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.

If you choose these false gods, the demons, the real God will revenge that!

Leviticus 26:30
And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

As mankind has rejected God (Genesis 3:6), these false objects of worship have become more and more numerous. The most dangerous ones are those of secular science.

1 Timothy 6:20
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

Everyone promoting these delusions is by definition a false prophet.

Mark 13:22
For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

As you see, Jesus is well aware of this kind of deception. Of course these false religions, such as Catholicism, Calvinism, Hinduism, etc., are "true" in the sense that their deities are real but they are evil demons. But, be assured, we worship the right one!

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
