    a frightening discovery...

after looking up some dates and reading SEVERAL history books to confirm my suspicions. the bible was written in the same time period from when the world was thought to be Flat... first christian bible (By what my sources say) was written around 400-500 BC, and the world wasn't discovered to be round until 1300 AD. this is something that i discussed with my friends.

to sum it up i got a well deserved smack to the head. but still it makes me think... and i don't like that.

You call that an introduction? And what is this nonsense about a round Earth? That theory was debunked a long time ago.

well i cant exactly post it anywhere else now can i? and after reading everything everyone is saying and how absolutely Zealot this place is I'm not sure I wanna even get involved. seeing whats on theses forms alone makes me fear. your views on entertainment, the reactions to even the smallest thing. and constantly pulling trash evidence out of nowhere on SEVERAL occasions (my main one being on the Team Fortress 2 form in Entertainment.) this place scares me. in my church i was taught that god loves all and will accept all, one way or the other. sadly i don't have my bible with me as of current as its in my room in my Nightstand. and I'm not gonna be bothered to go get it. and also i brought it up because the bible was written by the same people who thought the earth was Flat. which was a bit disconcerting when i made the discovery.

see now I'm just waiting to see how violently the moderators will react to that. because from what I've seen I'm sure its NOT gonna be subtle.

Your church taught you that god loves and will accept all, in spite of what He actually says in the Holy Bible? Oh goodness, no wonder you're so confused. You see, God is very clear about what He wants and whom He will accept. He wants fear and obedience (Ecclesiastes 12:13), and to be loved (John 14:21), or He'll Sparta Kick your soul into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:15). How did your church miss all that? Did they make up other stuff? Are you a Mormon, or something?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

            Welcome Clayton.

Given what little we know about you, I can safely summarize the following:

            1. You seem to be willing to make some assertions about the Bible (KJV1611 - the only "True" Bible that we use here at the Landover Baptist Church) that you aren't willing to back up with Scripture.

            2. While you claim to own a Bible (KJV1611), you seem to not be willing to extend the effort to go get it and actually read it - and indication that you may have a lazy streak (probably due to game playing).

            3. You're a self-admitted gamer - willing to devote vast quantities of the limited time Jesus has given you on this earth. This does not bode well for your future, and particularly where you will be spending eternity.

So far you haven't been overly rude or insulting - which is the primary reason that our friendly members and Moderators have not been triggered to react in ways that you may have noted.

                        Re: a frightening discovery...

Friend, it is abundantly simple (like Gods Love(r)).
God created the Earth and the Heavens. God had the Bible written, explaining everything is such a manner that even the weakest of simpletons could understand it. I do not know why you cannot grasp the fact that God created the Earth and He tells us it is flat.
Just like a sheet of paper. If you get real close to a sheet of paper, you will see it is not perfectly smooth (nor is the earth, more like a big meatball). Hills and valleys. But basically flat.
While God is Perfect(c) a lot of what he made is not and that is by design. Which is funnier, a car with round tires or one with square ones. Of all people, you who live in a fantasy world drawing make believe characters must use a wide variation of papers and realize, not always is it smooth.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
