Hello, Mr. Clayton. I am somewhat curious, why would you think that being Christian was good? I mean, the Holy Bible is a xenophobic, homophobic, and misogynistic document. Also, when you look at the last 1700 years of the history of Christianity - counting roughly from Constantine's decision to make Christianity into a state religion - Christians have been active participants in genocide, slavery, and all kinds of oppression of people who are either not Christians or not the "proper" kind of Christians. When both the ideological basis of a religion and the history of that religion is filled with cruelty, how on Earth could you have come up with the idea that this religion was good?

If God exists then He has to be enjoying all of that horror that has been caused by Christianity.

Of course you can believe what you want. God gave us Free Will for a good reason. To see who deserves consideration to spend eternity in Heaven and who needs to be jack-booted into Hell.

I know where you are going

Welcome friend. Sorry I did not bother to read your psychotic rant. I have one simple question for you. Why do you hate Jesus?

Is it because you never got an action figure with the kung-fu grip?

All you have to do is read the Bible and follow Gods Perfect Word(c). He had it written so the simplest of minds (even yours) can understand it.

You mean to say you found out the faith of Christ isn't what you thought it was? You thought maybe it was about coming together in a big hug-fest, singing Kumbaya? You thought maybe it was about telling your homosexual son that he can go ahead and grab the vasoline for the baby to take with him on his way to be the receptacle of a gang of hairy truckers he hooks up with on Craigslist in order to "find himself"? You thought maybe the faith of Christ was to ignore all the things Christ actually said and stood for, and to support the exact opposite? How in the world does someone fall for all this foolishness?

Ew. Take your homo erotica to Greta Christina's blog. I'm sure she'd love it.

homo? excuse me? where? you know here is a saying i adore: don't assume it makes an ass out of U and Me.

you just assumed twice that im a homo and even gave me an infracture for it! you just put a false sin on me! from what ive seen that is contradictory to SO MANY THINGS I've seen here!

    Miss Clayton,

If you do not have a Holy Bible, there are many sites on the Interwebs that will give you access to one. The verse that comes to mind in regard to your post is (Psalms 1:1). I think you've been sitting in the seat of the scornful for so long that a splinter is lodged in your nether regions.

Landover Baptist Church has some of the friendliest, Godliest people in the planet. All True Christians(TM) here are infallible and without sin. You won't find that in atheism, which is a hotbed of sin and treachery. Here is an example.

There is a pool. On one side is Melania Trump in a sheer white bathing suit. On the other side is satan trying to lure her in the pool. On yet another side is Hillary Clinton, who is crawling out of the pool, soaking wet, but no one cares to look her way since her breasts are down to her knees and each butt cheek is hanging near the ground. On the other side is Landover Baptist Church. LBC is the best choice because of the Gethsemane Conundrum. If you aren't familiar with that, I'm sorry - I can't reveal it to unsaved trash. I will tell you this much: the joy and peace and total fulfillment that comes from accepting the truth of the Gethsemane conundrum is the only thing in this life that matters.

I would add you to my prayer list, but you've stated you're moving on. It's a real shame that you made that choice, since you were so close to Salvation(R) here. You were on the verge of finding out exactly what it's like to live the life of a Christian, because that's our theme here: "If it ain't Jesus, we ain't interested." Of course some people use proper American and say "isn't" instead. Of course the second part would be "aren't," in case you aren't familiar with American grammar.

Enjoy the barbed generatalia of the devil.

    COME, LORD JESUS! (Rev. 22:12)
    BrotherLarry

here is an analogy for my experience

There is a pool. the pool is Christianity outside the pool is atheism. for the longest time I've only dipped my feet into the pool. a belief in god yes. but nothing extreme. one day I'm motivated to dive in. so i do. i find a person in the pool, named landover. i make them an acquaintance and i begin to find out more about them. as i discover more and more about what the pool actually was and what it meant to be in it i began to back off.

he made me cry and i ran. i ran out of the pool. i dipped my feet in with my other friends and kept as far from Landover as i could. and my friends who also had their feet dipped in the pool put their arms around me and hugged me. telling me that no matter what they would always be there for me.

...a belief in god yes. but nothing extreme.

I don't mean to sound judgmental, but this is ridiculous. How can you believe in God, but not "extremely"? Does that mean you believe in God, but not really? Maybe you believe on some days, but not on others? I suspect there must be some kind of short circuit in your brain.
