    Greetings

    Good evening to you all, my brothers and sisters in Christ!

    As you can see, my name is AwashInPeace, for I am truly awash in peace ever since the Lord Jesus saved me from my horrible sin two years ago. I am a member of the Brethren of Christ Church in North Carolina, and have joined this forum to connect with other believers.

    My favorite verse in the Bible is Hebrews 12:14 (which is written in my signature for all to read).

    I am truly glad to be here, may God bless you all!

    A Huge and Friendly Welcome to You, Awash:

    It is truly glorious to meet you. Are you you an awash male or an awash female? Are you wed? Have you children? Your introductory post leaves a bit to the imagination and I would love clarification.

    One thing that has me all in a tizzy is this heinous sin from which our sweet Lord has delivered you. Was it scandalous? Was it rapt with lasciviousness and lust? We would love details - no matter how sordid, we want to know why we should rejoice that you filled the hole that was gaping open so obviously with Christ, the Lord. I myself cannot imagine my life before finding the True Jesus®.

    You see, I was a papist, at the mercy of pedo priests. I worshipped Mary and thought St. Anthony would find my keys or other items I misplaced just by chanting, "Tony, Tony, look around. Something's lost that must be found." (Oddly, I seemed to always find the item after that prayer, but one of the dear brothers here informed me that it was a deception of the devil to keep me further bound by the evilness that is Catholicism.

    Now I am washed in the Blood of Jesus™ and I humbly serve my fellow True Christians™ as a certified equine gnathologist, veterinary quiz passer, and future equine psychoanalyst and PhD in Creation Science. (I owe the latter to Brother Elmer White, whose wisdom you will find in these forums if you but search for them. Should he choose to greet you in this forum, count it as a blessing, for few are chosen).

    Now - please let me know about the whole gender thing so I don't go all gay on you if you're male.

    COME, LORD JESUS (Rev. 22:12)

    Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
    Amen and Amen

      Greetings and welcome to you, brother or sister in Christ. It is pleasing to have you here amongst us, but I have questions.

      Could tell us a little bit more about your Brethren of Christ Church? What are their worship services like? How is authority structured in your church? Do you all follow the Word of God 100% in its every directive and command?

      We look forward to hearing from you and encourage you to join in on our rousing discussions of the Bible and its timeless wisdom for life in our modern day and age.

      Encouragingly Yours,

        Re: Greetings

        Hi and welcome! It is sure appreciated that you have done an almost perfect introduction.

        I can see that you like the peaceful side of our religion. But I wonder, what do you think of the more aggressive side that God likes to show from time to time, and Jesus as well? Do you like God 100%?

          @BrotherLarry

          I am indeed a born-again Brother in Christ. I am not yet wed and thus do not have any children.

          In regards to the sin I mentioned earlier, the most heinous of sins that I committed against our Holy Savior was that of fornication with a sinful woman. However, when the Lord Jesus showed me the error of my ways and rescued my soul, I immediately repented of my horrible transgressions and ended the harmful relationship.

          Praise Jesus for saving me from my fleshly lusts!

          1 Corinthians 6:18 KJV - Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

          @Handmaiden

          The Brethren of Christ Church is a small church in a widely-persecuted area, however like the Church of Smyrna in Revelation, we are strong in the Spirit. We have a single pastor who is dedicated to the spiritual care of the congregation, and meditates on the Word day and night, just as Psalm 1 commands all of us to do. We also have a board of deacons who, as outlined in the book of Acts, serve the physical needs of the congregation, and are upright and godly men as stated in 1 Timothy.

          @Brother Gonzalez

          Absolutely. God is just and holy, and does not turn away from sinful men. He has already sent his perfect Son Jesus to die on the cross for sinners, anyone arrogant enough to reject him deserves to be damned to hell eternally.
