    I come in peace

Dear all at Landover, I have introduced myself before I'm sure you won't remember me but I have found your replies to my posts stimulating. There is much I have found a challenge, so to meet this challenge I have started to revisit the Bible. I await salvation of my eternal soul. To help could you clarify a section in the gospel of Matthew. this concerns false prophets and their fruits. C7: V15:20. I got the King James Bible but find the language and images difficult to understand. Kind regards the meek.

Hello the meek, and welcome back! You might find Brother V's invigorating annotations helpful. You can follow along the whole Bible with us!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Had you been reading the Bible all along, you would have been past this little speed bump, Miss. The cure for ALL difficulties in understanding God's Word is simply this:

PRAYER. That's it. Ask our Heavenly Father to send the Holy Spirit into your mind to discern meanings and obvious truths. He will answer you - but there is a condition!

Just because you utter a few words to the Lord God doesn't mean He is going to hear you. (John 9:31) That is simple to fix, too! Just open your sinful mouth and ask God to forgive you of all your vile, sexually lustful, hateful, and selfish sins that you commit every second of every day. He will forgive! (1 John 1:9) From that point, do everything the blessed Word of God tells you to do. EVERYTHING.

Then He will create in you a new mind (Ephesians 4:23). The Bible will become as simple as a kindergarten picture book (it already is quite simple). Glory!

A larger question would be, Why are you hanging out with false prophets? Don't you know how stupid that is? I don't need to worry about false prophets because I attend a Bible believing church and regularly visit Landover's forums, where NOTHING is false. How do I know that? Landover said so - and since they are God's favorite church, operating God's favorite forums, with God's favorite pastors, led by the BFF of Jesus, Pastor Ezekiel, I have no need to doubt.

Sounds like you need to stop hanging out on skid row, friend, and give Jesus the respect He deserves.

Welcome back to the friendly world of LBC!

Just for the record I do not live on skid row, but on reading Luke C12 V15:22 those who lay up treasures for himself, and is not rich towards God...
Consider the lillies of field. Also I am glad to reread the KJV my last Bible I used to study from was the Good News which didn't have the introduction. You know where it thanks God for being reigned over by his Majesty the King of England. I thought true Christians TM were Republicans.

Friend, I spent plenty of time "getting laid" before I was saved. And you know what? All that "free love" and premarital sex only left me with a sense of emptiness, loneliness, and despair.

Now that I am saved, I have not masturbated or engaged in premarital sex for many, many years, and let me tell you, it is such a good feeling!

Do I occasionally feel the urge to sin in my heart with a woman? Of course I do! But instead of masturbating, I open my 1611 King James Bible and meditate upon Hebrews 13:4, along with my personal favorite, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5.

Wouldn't you like to receive Jesus' free gift of salvation so you can be as happy and fulfilled as I am?

There was a period before the American republic when King George was King of America, and a few other kings and queens.

Perhaps you could see whether the king you referred to was one of them?

Of course not all English kings were Christians, King Prasutagus springs to mind here –>

                        MATTHEW 7 . KJV . look up
                        15
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Some plants are poisonous. Others are nourishing and good to eat. Jesus is comparing good inspiration to nourishing food.

Not all inspiration is beneficial. The inspiration provided by Marx and Lenin for example produced the poisonous Stalin, a very toxic fruit indeed. Together they established communism, a murder based system of government published in England during the 19th century. Perhaps by reading the communist manifesto, a splurge of prose high in the top three most boring documents ever written, one could imagine some benefits. If it were 1848 and one was a hothouse flower with no experience of reality.

There is a British organisation called The Fabian Society. Their emblem of choice was a wolf wearing a sheepskin and their method is to infiltrate and cause change from within, a bit like drinking arsenic tea. Their agenda is socialist but where does Jesus endorse Liberty Equality & Fraternity? He does not. The Fabian Society exemplifies what Jesus meant by His wolf-in-sheep's-clothing analogy but there are many other instances. The papist hierarchy claims to represent Jesus but what they teach is in fact the complete opposite of His instruction. They are like a tree bearing bad fruit as their catastrophic influence in Africa shows very well.

What they say is not what they actually intend to do. Maintaining their gilded carbuncle requires millions to believe what they say and cough up the dough. Did I say gilded? There is probably some gold leaf in the vatican but solid gold is more to their taste and plenty of it. Palaces, mansions, every luxury available just as in communist nations..for the elite..before they all collapsed.

Jesus does not want you to collapse. That's why He warned us about false leaders and how to recognise them. Following deceptive doctrines will never lead any good outcome. Indeed Jesus is very clear that denying His words gets you infinite torment in molten sulphur licked by burning flames forever.

                        REVELATION 11 . KJV . whole passage
                        19
The temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born..
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
13:1a And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea..
3b ..and all the world wondered after the beast.
4a And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast..
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12a And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him..
14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Heathens are everywhere these days, spouting off nonsense, savage against Jesus. And whatever their creed or philosophy The Bible explains if they contradict Jesus they are false prophets. Surely, among so much confusion there is one path that's remained consistent throughout the centuries and I'm happy to represent that for you here.

Thanks for the replies. The King mentioned in the introduction of the KJV Bible is King James. Son of bloody Mary, head of the Anglican Church also a believer in witches. The picture is of a statue of Queen Boudicca, a Celt not a Christian but not the Queen of the United Kingdom just Merica, which was the area equivlant to today's East Anglia.
The point made about the fruits of false profits was well made. However the ideas of Marx could be argued to have started not just the failed experiment in the USSR. But also movements that brought in social security, education for all and movement towards a more equal society. Jesus moved amount the poor, spoke out against the elite and fought the corruption in the temple. Or have I got that wrong?

"Bloody Mary" was Mary I of England, daughter of Henry VIII. She was a completely different person.

Sister Mitza posted the picture of Boudica to remind you of her husband, Prasutagus, king of the Iceni. Boudica was a queen through her marriage, rather than in her own right. At the time of the statue, she was prancing around causing trouble in her capacity as the king's widow.
