Hello, I hope you welcome me with open arms

I am an agnostic looking to see how this side of Christianity operates, and upon reading something that was an obvious danger to society, I looked to see what other people might have to say to try and convince me otherwise, I was sad to see the lack of respect this "friendly forum" has towards people who want to have legitimate conversation, and instead condemns them with infractions for arbitrary reasons like "debating instead of praising Jesus." I sincerely hope you people will change this way of thinking, be more open to people outside your demographic, and I hope you made it through this post and didn't stop at "agnostic" from a fear of what might be.

    Hello

I'd first of all like to welcome you to our truly friendly forum. Please know that this message should be read with the understanding that my intentions are not to scold or judge you, but only to explain some things you might have misunderstood.

This is a private site, and as such we have the right and the ability to place infractions upon visitors who do not comply with our expectations. I would like you to know that I received infractions when I first visited here but I learned from them and changed my behavior. I don't operate the site, so I have no rights here, but those who DO operate the site have sole jurisdiction on what is acceptable. So - don't feel singled out! We welcome all who come here to learn about Jesus as long as they are here for that reason and not to cause vexation. Vexation is frowned upon and is very impolite.

This is NOT a debate site. This is a forum set up for sharing praise, prayer, and day to day information about living the life of a True Christian™. We adore it when visitors come here because it is one more chance to help people understand what Christ and Christianity is about. We don't mess around here; our Bible-based faith is true and focused. If it isn't in scripture, it doesn't matter. We uphold creation science, (in fact, I am studying toward a PhD in that field), but other secular science is meaningless to us unless it can be justified through the Holy Bible, KJV 1611 version - the only one truly inspired by the Holy Ghost.

We are always open to people's opinions but welcoming opinion does not make it a correct opinion. My opinion could be that Jesus is a black man who could walk on water because He had webbed feet. That opinion is not supported by scripture; that makes it false. It's still an opinion, but it's incorrect. The purpose of our rebukes and our correction is to help you see the truth - nothing else.

If your intentions are true, you're more than welcome to explore the forums and ask sincere questions about anything you don't understand. Be prepared for real, fair, balanced and scripturally sound responses, however. The people of Landover Baptist Church have solid experience in Biblical teaching, counseling, and leading souls to their home in Heaven.

Know, dear one, that you - yes YOU - were brought here for a reason. The LORD chose you to learn about Him and about His only one true faith: Baptist Christianity. The man who baptized Christ wasn't called John the Methodist or John the Presbyterian. He was called John the BAPTIST.

We care about you. I am speaking as gently as I can; I hope you will respect and appreciate that. One warning: time is short. Christ comes quickly (Rev. 22:12).

    BrotherLarry

We are a congregation of friendly and welcoming Christians who maintain this web site for the purposes of praising Jesus and coming together for fellowship and Bible study. It is common for the unsaved to descend upon us with demands and this missive is typical of the abuse which is heaped on us.

Mr. Unsaved Person, we have had to deal with many of your ilk over the years. Presumably, you are a young person who has been raised without benefit of moral guidance, you do not know Jesus, you are rude and you feel entitled as so many unsaved youth do these days. Let me help you understand. If you went to the home of a nearby Negroe family and knocked on their door, demanding to know why they favor ribs and fried chicken with their watermelon, would you be surprised if they pulled out their jammies and shot you a few times? If you went to the home of nearby Mexicans and complained about the bean gas fouling the neighborhood, would you be surprised if they pulled out their knives and cut you up?

Why then are you surprised when a Christian here loses his temper and lambasts unsaved trash who come among us to abuse us for sport? We are not here to invite wretches who do not love Jesus to take pot shots at us.

The real world is all around you friend. Acting the village idiot will not help you make your way. Better come to Jesus. It's that or Hell. Don't go there; it's too hot.

I don't get it. These people are just a little more honest about what the bible says.

I've read a little of the bible (the juicy bits) and there is some horrific stuff: did you know that God (who let's not forget is also the same person as Jesus) commanded babies skulls to be bashed out in the OT (Psalm 137:9)?

When Christians worship that kind of God how can you be surprised when the people on this site don't seem very friendly: their god is not friendly.

See this is what I'm talking about, BrotherLarry spoke with me very respectfully and reasonably and I was pleasantly surprised. however that becomes mute when people of a more (I'm assuming at least) reasonable nature are associated with insanely racist stereotyped bigotry like this. I myself am one of these so called "negroes" who, believe it or not, is not fond of fried chicken, doesn't own any firearms, and is a thru and thru pacifist, but time and time again I see full members that seem to gather respect on this forum be allowed to put people like me into a stereotype and people sit there and act like its the unadulterated truth. I hope you sir find your god, hope that you find Jesus, because although I'm sure you think you have, with a mindset like that filled with such hatred, the only think that could possibly await you on the other side is brimstone.

And this is what THEY'RE talking about. People come here claiming to want "dialogue", or "to learn", and then when the True Christians™ show them what the Bible really says, it's all "oh stop with the hate ima getting triggered here" and launch off with a bunch of crap that the Bible DOES NOT SAY (like "God loves everyone" or "Jesus wants you to be nice to each other, even heathens" I mean seriously now).

...the only think that could possibly await you on the other side is brimstone.
Same message for you as for the many many others who pull their religious views from their backsides:

Hello unsaved person. As you are hopefully beginning to understand, the only society we care about is the one that God so carefully and completely described for us in His holy Word. Are we a danger to the godless, secular, idol-worshiping morass of sin and depravity that many call "society?" You bet we are. God commands us to be such.

John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

No need to be surprised, when people behave respectfully, they are treated respectfully. I hope you paid attention to the information that BrotherLarry included in his fine post. Every newcomer acquires an infraction or two. And until you learn the rules and prove yourself, some people will give you a hard time, while others will support you and help you figure things out. Have you never seen a teen movie?

                      . . .however that becomes mute . . .
The word you mean is "moot". Here, I am playing the fair but exacting teacher who watches while you wander you way about the place but only interferes if the other kids actually thrust your head in a toilet.

Most of our perspectives on the races comes from the Bible. If you feel that the Bible is unreasonable and insane then you need to hang with the atheists and dissenters on the forum. They are here, I promise you, but they may be out back, smoking weed. When I'm not being a teacher, I hang with the nice girls from Home Ec and Honors English.

I myself am one of these so called "negroes" who, believe it or not, is not fond of fried chicken,
That's okay, more fried chicken for me. You can have my coffee, since I'm an Eye-talian who doesn't care for espresso and cappuccinos and all that.

                      . . . doesn't own any firearms, . . .
We don't really think that ALL negroes own firearms. None of the earnest young Jehovah's Witnesses that I see out on their little missions carry guns. (They carry false Bibles.) Also, given White Christian America's support for the Second Amendment, why would you think that we think owning guns is bad? Guns are great! Just ask anybody who voted for Trump.

                      . . .and is a thru and thru pacifist, . . .
Are you sure that you're a Real™ pacifist? If you were, wouldn't you just smile and say "good day" instead of writing the following?

. . . but time and time again I see full members that seem to gather respect on this forum be allowed to put people like me into a stereotype and people sit there and act like its the unadulterated truth. So, because someone wrote something that you find racist, you passive aggressively state that they have NOT "found god" (sic) and that they are going to hell where they will suffer horrific unending pain. In other words, it's okay in your mind for them to be tortured for not thinking and believing exactly as you do.

That's not very pacifist. It's close to being Christian, but lots of people from other religions want to see people who disagree with them suffer. Sometimes, they inflict the suffering themselves instead of trusting their God to do it. (An obvious, if subconscious, admission of weak faith, if you ask me.)

Until you accept the whole Bible as God's Holy Word, with no exceptions for any verse and no disputing God's positions on any subject, then you can't be a True Christian™. Also, I'd like to point out that redemption from hell is available to people of all races, according to the Bible, as is complete obedience to all of God's commands required of all people. He's very equal opportunity that way.

Where people get confused is in not understanding that God laid down different commands for different people. We are all required to obey Him totally, but children are commanded to obey their parents and wives are commanded to be submissive to their husbands. A man is not in disobedience to God's Word if he doesn't submit to his wife or obey his children, because that is not what God requires of him in His law.

Likewise, white people have not been cursed to be a servant race; God laid that curse on black people. And servants are specifically commanded to obey their masters. That's all in the Bible, which, I presume, is where you got your information about brimstone.

So, in summation, if you want to hang out in Bible Study, (which is totally allowed in this school, btw) you are welcome to do so. Just remember that what you learn, you have to obey. If you don't want to obey, then you should hang out with a different crowd and chill out about the infractions.

                      Peacefully Yours,
