    WolfEpiphany Reporting In

Happy New Year to everyone reading this post, and if it's not directly New Year Day by the time you read it, then happy whatever-day-it is to you! I'm WolfEpiphany, or, at least, online I'm known as WolfEpiphany, and I'm an active duty solider that is also a parishioner at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Minnesota. I understand that this is a Baptist Christian Board, and given that my faith is a bit shaken at the moment, I'm quite open to the possibility to conversion should the good word strike me right.

My personal favorite bible verse is Judges 16:30 "And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life."

Thank you for posting and welcome to Landover. Yes, Judges is a fantastic record of the Love available, to those who trust Him, from God. Many people say they accept His teaching but seem to have read so little of The Bible.

Another testimony from a reluctant follower..certainly more reluctant than Samson..is found in Jonah chapter four. I'll post the whole chapter for you, it's quite short, and trust that you find this historical witness to God's authority beneficial as you question the authority of priests.
JONAH . KJV . look up
3:10b God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
4:1-5 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry. And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil. Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. Then said the LORD, Doest thou well to be angry? So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.
6-11 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered. And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live. And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death. Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night: And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

Hello Mr. Wolf. To restore your faith, you must read the word of God (as found in the KJV 1611 Bible) incessantly.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Another thing that would surely help is to leave that gathering of hell-bound Mary worshipers and seek out a true, Bible-believing Baptist church.

1 Timothy 4:1-3 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

I pray that your faith will be restored and that you will be with us
as we praise Jesus unceasingly for all eternity instead of what will happen to the papists.

      Revelation 14:11
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

      Humbly,
      Wally
Proverbs 27:15 A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.

I have often spent hours on my knees in my prayer closet, clutching God's Word turned to Jonah 4, weeping as I leaned upon the everlasting arms of Jesus. I have prayed for my own personal gourd (I don't think we should purchase gourds from the grocer, at least not for spiritual lessons). Christ instead sent worms (sans gourd) which created much anal discomfort, but taught me a lesson regarding prayer and faith and proper hygiene. I hope the original poster will read and re-read that amazing chapter and discover that GOD is in charge, we are merely here to do as He says. Amen?
        Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
        Amen and Amen

Welcome, Wolf. I am much pleased that you have come among us. We gather here for praise and worship and also to uplift those who seek congress with Christians. We are friendly and very welcoming. We even accept Catholics, even though they are not Christians, in the hope that we may bring them to Jesus. A number of those active here are former Romans who have come to Jesus. I pray that you will join us in Christ's family. It's that or Hell, Wolf. Don't go there; it's too hot.

And just what in tarnation is that supposed to mean? Is God some kind of trained monkey in your eyes, a minstrel who has to dance and sing just right in order to win your favor?

How about leaving the Catholic church and committing yourself to Christ, not because we made you feel good, but because you will miss out on everlasting life if you don't?
