It just means a place for (compulsory) continued education for people aged 16 to 18, who have left school (= high school) without any useful knowledge or qualifications. I believe the government instigated this system to disguise the fact that so many of these early school-leavers are unemployable. So while college-level in the US implies - in some cases, at least - some actual academic content, that is never the case here.

If you look on the term college as meaning babysitting service for those too dim to stay on at high-school, you won't be far wrong. I hope that is helpful?
Thank you, Ma'am. Yes, it was very helpful. I should have known this, I know I learned that at some point.

You make an excellent point here. However, I hope it is not meant to be a sideswipe at True Christian™ mothers.
Of course not, Mrs. Lytton-Vassey. As I have been documenting it in my very slowly progressing dissertation research, True Christian™ mothers give their children with the best education that the Bible can provide.

when I went to college and did biology for 2 years, even though it was difficult, I did actually pass the course.
In the light of Mrs. Lytton-Vassey's keen observations cited below, I find it very difficult to believe.

I've fixed it for you, Miss Agnes. Based on all of the information you provided about yourself, I understand now that you seem to be having troubles understanding words which are longer than two syllables. I will no longer hold your ignorance against you.

but at the same time, I also believe in the Qu'ran, the Torah, all other holy books and scrolls etc,
How do you reconcile the contradiction between and within all of the holy texts? I mean, don't they cancel each other out between them, and aren't they just terribly inconsistent internally?

Also, I am curious, how do you draw the distinction between "books" and "scrolls?"

(one of my beliefs is that there is a supreme being who is responsible for all forms of life,
    Yep, definitely not an agnostic.

and that there are beings known as protectors who all look the same, have immortality which they can also give as a gift, and carry swords which they use to punish those who have done evil).
That's cute but unsupported by the holy texts you mention before; how can they be true if they contradict your belief?

    Dear Sinner,

It is wonderful that you're visiting our Forum as we can help you find Jesus. Before that, however, there are some delusions of yours that need to be rectified. You seem to be under the delusion (Isaiah 66:4) that the world as well as our site would function according to your rules.

NEWSFLASH It doesn't. END OF NEWSFLASH

God's rules. Not ours, nor yours. God does not care about your "opinion". He only wants your obedience (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Problems in secular education do not matter. Only God does.

    Exodus 3:14
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you

God is that He is. You may hold your "opinions" but ultimately it's irrelevant, as Jesus (who is God; John 10:30) only wants your Faith, obedience, and worship (John 3:18). Still, while God is that He is, He has given us no indication that He would be a "space alien". The aliens referred to in the Bible are simply those of other nations, basically, unbelievers. Please take care that you won't end up with one of them!

    Hebrews 11:34
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

Except for you. So far you have presented nothing that could count as evidence, neither from the religious nor scientific point of view.

Therefore, I cannot respect your opinion as it is a baseless claim which is not supported by any evidence at all.

Re: Agnostic Theist Reporting For Duty

I posted a clip of atheistic dogma containing CGI and here it is on youtube for reference. It's about the stars but contains serious errors.

How many ways can you see in there that God is contradicted, laughed at as a liar who is ignorant of His Creation and doesn't know anything at all about anything He created?
In that "Astounding Fact" clip, deGrasse Tyson contradicts The Bible in a number of ways. I am glad that you take an interest in the wonderful world God has created for us to live in, after all God encourages us to learn from nature.

    SOLOMON
    PROVERBS 6:6-8
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest... kjv

    JESUS
    LUKE 12:24-28d
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you? .. kjv

I noted down a few ways God was contradicted in the youtube. From the outset he sets up a lie and it must be a lie because it declares that God was wrong, God who actually made everything.

1st We are presented with exploding stars. Well, The Bible does not say that stars can't explode but what is going on here is windowdressing for the foundational lie. Next @0:53 he announces that oxygen was distributed during these explosions. This CANNOT be true. Whether you think a day in Genesis is 24 hours or a hundred thousand million billion trillion years is immaterial. Water contains oxygen and water was present from the outset indeed it was necessary for God to establish a large "bubble" in the water SO THAT dry land could appear where grass, herbs, cereals and fruit trees could grow. Obviously apricots cannot grow on the seabed! At this stage the sun DID NOT EXIST and the stars..all the stars..DID NOT EXIST. Neil deGrasse Tyson is calling God a liar. Water existed from day one. Oxygen predates the creation of any star.

2nd Having set the stage with this foundational lie of science and after a short pause with lulling music the presentation continues: "and all the fundamental ingredients of life itself." WRONG! This is supposed to have happened before the earth existed? God is very explicit here. The ingredients for life existed well before there were any stars to explode! Has deGrasse Tyson even read The Bible?

3rd Science really has got this all backwards. Half way through the lies get reinforced with some mawkish blather about us being in the universe and the universe in us. Eventually, God explains, after the trees were growing and cereals were there ready for food and pasture for animals and herbs for seasoning He made the sun and the the stars. NOW they could explode but this would have little impact on the abundance of life already growing. According to science there was no carbon to make wood and no oxygen to make water until the stars exploded.

4th Although brief, the youtube clip contradicts God in other ways too. The Bible explains how creation was blasted forever through sin. Everything is ruined, the plants now have spikes and many animals have to eat one another to survive. Death and disease have writhed into existence and the ground is cursed because of Eve. Agony, pain and despair. A perpetual nightmare in which we have no choice but to participate just by being alive. Only Jesus can disconnect us. Let's see what The Bible says.

    THE BIBLE
    II CORINTHIANS 6:16b-17a
Ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord... kjv

HEBREWS 7:25-26 [Jesus] is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;.. kjv

Astrophysics promotes the exact opposite with the following statement @1:51f "That’s really what you want in life, you want to feel connected, you want to feel relevant, you want to feel like you’re a participant in the goings on of activities and events around you; that’s precisely what we are, just by being alive." Everything we see, whether using binoculars or not, is infected with sin absolutely vile and scheduled for destruction followed by everlasting torture exactly as deserved. No sane person would want to participate in such a horror show yet these wretched scientists try to indoctrinate everyone with lies from infancy.

5th He follows this up with some 3D animated graphics, last of which according to the credits is a sunset on Mars. But they’ve got it so wrong. Firstly the sun is the wrong colour. Turquoise? We all know what colour the sun is! Next it’s too small. Below is an actual sunset and at right I've posted two stills comparing the "Mars sunset" with a real one. God is clear that a firmament separates the waters above from the waters below. I'll allow that a rocket could fly up to Mars for the purposes of illustration and deGrasse Tyson does show a rocket taking off so let's say you've got Mars in between you and the sun which would be what the graphic shows. But although the sun must be farther away than Mars, from your point of view, you will now be much closer to the sun than when you were down on the ground. Therefore the sun would appear larger. Much larger. Not smaller. And certainly not turquoise.

Well that's 5 biggies. There are plenty of other contradicions in there but why are they presenting such erroneous material? Do they meet up and imagine new ways to insult the maker of the Universe and the sacrifice He made so that we could be separated out from this world of sin? Do they take a crazy pill and run around laughing at God, denying that He has any knowledge or competence to do anything and if He got it so wrong about fruit trees..being out by a factor of 13,783,000,000 years they tell us..how likely is He to know anything about Jesus? I can just see them jumping up and down, "Yarooh!" they go, "Ha-ha-ha-aa-a! That's a good 'un!" and "whoo whoo whoo whoo" and so on.

Or do they sit writing up the latest cozenage sneering all alone, hissing blasphemies and swigging gin and thinking how they long to be connected with a world brim full of sin. I leave it to you: who are the sane ones here?

    REAL SUNSET. . .

    Hello Agnes,

I see you've moved to Scotland. How does it feel to live in a liberal, limp wristed country that is filled with transgender men and women? How can you allow all the men to run around wearing dresses. Why do you allow a woman to run your country, I mean it's just not right. This silly woman Nickolas Sturgeon (fish by name, fishwife by nature) has had the gall to suggest secession from the crown. How dare she. If she does that how will you afford your deep fried mars bars and slabs of Tenants Super (you know, the one in the blue tin).

Also, just wanted to point out Miss Joanna is ENGLISH, not American. Please stop being so angry at the world. It is unbecoming in a young man like yourself. Do you have any "A" levels? I have six.

God has a few things to say about education:
    1 Timothy Chapter 2

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

    Proverbs 13:1

That is not in the Bible, sweetie! You can read all about the fist baptisms in Matthew chapter 3.

If you cannot read (nothing would surprise me at this point), there are Bible audio books as well.

(as Jesus - whether you like it or not - was not racist,
