    New-Intro

Sorry for replying to a post before introducing myself. I am not here to engage in hate or bigotry, but to offer an understanding of my catholic perspective and my love of Jesus! I'll always be respectful of your opinions as I hope you are of mine.

    God bless!

    Hello John,

You seem to have missed this part: Here is where you introduce yourself. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.

It is in the forum description, why do you feel the need to ignore it? As this is your thread you will have plenty of room to elaborate on your journey with Christ, the church and your hands-on-priest. Please share your story.

    Kind regards,

    Roland

Greetings John! I will make you welcome here on this site which is a Baptist site for white people. Also nonbaptists are accepted and even nonwhite people. I am Black man myself and I come from far away on the island of Jamaica which is my home. I have been well accepted here by my white friends and I am only occasionally under rebuke. I am certain that you will also be accepted also but I must advise you to avoid angering these white people. White people are violent and while these white people are no more violent than other white people they can be dangerous when aroused.

        Hello John,

Welcome to the forum. Please tell us a lot more about yourself. We would really like to know more about you. Like a lot of other new members I see that you have possibly forgotten to read the page header before you posted but, as they say in Austria, no worries mate, you'll learn.

So anyway I see you purport to be a papist, why? I hope that by being here you are able to turn away from that dark pseudo religion.

By the way, that's a nice reference. John 13:35, do you understand it's meaning?

Hello, welcome to the forum. I don't see how loving Jesus is compatible with idolatry. The deliverance looked for in The Messiah was deliverance from slavery to idols and the destruction of sin.

          I JOHN 5 . KJV . look up
          20
we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

People who have received that understanding would not worship idols. It is the opposite of loving Jesus. How can you reconcile these two opposites?

Hello John, I sure hope you're not going to ignore Jesus when He calls upon you to reject Catholicism and follow Him.
