The Onan sin is better than hiring a prostitute. A man with no disfunction, HAS to satisfy his sexual desire. So, GOD, in his infinity wisdom, should have considered this in the bible, but I have not found the verse.

You are confusing free will with sin. You have the free will to sin or not sin, but sin is not free will and free will is not sin. I hope this helps.

Proverbs 16:19 sums it up pretty well. The Book of Job is very instructive, but the verse you quote has nothing to do with free will. As a Catholic, you must understand but little of God's word and that by accident. I am praying for your salvation.

Then why would God offer people a choice and then tell them to make it?

By the way, since the Catholic Catechism teaches free will, you're basically arguing that Catholicism contradicts the Bible.

Being that I am a properly shielded, True Christian(tm) lady of delicate sensibilities, I am loathe to address this, ahem, issue.


First, sin is sin is sin is sin. Some Broadway actor-guy got that half right.


The Lord God Almighty makes no distinction between fornication for money, self-abuse or amateur night in the backseat of a car.


If the entire human race can be condemned to a life of backbreaking labor followed by an eternity burning in hell just because one woman ate a piece of fruit against direct orders from the Lord, I don't see how you can imagine that same Supreme Being making an exception for any one person--or a group of people--just because they have "impulses" and lack a chiseled jaw.


Speaking of such a lack, even if a man were so unattractive as to be consistently picked last in the dodge ball of the dating game, it does not mean that they must remain unwed. There are blind women, you know. As the Patriarch Abraham can attest, the Lord provides. You just need to pray harder. Jesus, in His great love, might strike some lovely young woman blind just for you.


That being said, the sin to which you refer has to do with refusing to follow a specific command set forth by the Lord regarding levirate marriage. The young woman in that case was willing to obey God's Word, and there is no indication that she found Onan handsome or hideous. Not that it mattered. Just how much light do you think there was in that tent, anyway?


The solitary behavior to which you allude is a different sin, and it breaks Jesus' sweet heart in a different way, because He can see you as you engage in such unwholesome activity.


This general idea that you have that there is something in the male physiology that cannot be "contained" indefinitely is a matter best discussed with a True Christian(tm) gentleman.


Though, on the face of it, it does seem unlikely that a person with access to a computer for posting about this problem would likely be lacking access to indoor plumbing.


Plumbing that can provide a reliable, virtually limitless supply of running water-- very cold, running water--if you catch my drift.

I prayed before I began this response to you, asking God to direct my words and to allow them to pierce your questioning mind with His love and understanding. Therefore, this will be the perfect answer to your question.


First, I must say that Sister Handmaiden, a dear saint of the church, could have only given you a better response if she were a man. However, God Almighty chose to make her a woman, and while that automatically brings flaws along with it, she did a fine job in explaining such an understandably difficult question for a woman to tackle.


I can only say this: As a former papist and ex-onanist, I personally know that the Baby Jesus weeps every time we spill our precious seed into a tissue, a sock, a blanket, the back seat of our mother's sedan, or other unseemly location. How do I know? Because throughout all the years I was practicing this selfish act, once I was finished, I could see Baby Jesus wiping tears away. Often He would speak to me saying, "Child, you failed again. Pray for forgiveness in case you die in your sleep!" And I would do so, knowing that the following day I would commit the same sin again - possibly more than once.


When I practiced Catholic lies and false doctrines, I would pray the rosary whenever I felt like engaging in self abuse. When I discovered that I was onanizing while praying the rosary, I knew in my heart that I was a hell bound sinner. But then JESUS stepped in.


Thanks to the good people of Landover Baptist Church, I discovered the lies of the romanists and INSTANTLY my mind was transformed (Romans 12:2). Not only did I no longer sin in this manner, but my mind became a receptacle for knowledge. I would not be the intelligent, well-built, handsome, virile, masculine young man I am today had it not been for the love of True Christians(TM) and the power of the Blood of Jesus. You, too, can find that renewal, that transformation, that complete washing Christ provides when we pray with a contrite heart. Won't you do so? Won't you let Him show you that even though you are ugly as the north end of a baboon walking in a southerly direction that you are precious to HIM?

If you prayed that prayer, you are no longer a Catholic! You are now a Christian, a child of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Find a good Baptist church and start attending service every time the doors are open. Read your King James Bible from start to finish.

Well son, it is in the Bible (KJV1611), but most scholars don't mention it as it is quite a complex issue to fulfill.

You can always try to pray to Jesus for what is known as a "nocturnal emission" (aka, "wet dream"). When one of these occurs (as they sometimes do by "chance" according to scripture), then Bible (KJV1611) is instructive as to what you are to do and no sin is involved.

If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

- Deuteronomy 23:10-11

Be aware however, that if you attempt to bring about one of these "nocturnal emissions" by looking at porn, or happen to become lustful by looking at scantily clad women then you have already committed a sin even before going to sleep.

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

So there you have it - don't try to fool Jesus by having impure thoughts before going to sleep in an attempt to induce one of those "wet dreams".

This person reveals some very fallacious* reasoning when he writes,

Why ever does he think that he has a Biblical or Constitution right to satisfaction? God in His Wisdom, (which does not involve driving a Japanese-made luxury sedan) gives us the right to go to hell if we so choose, and the opportunity to go to heaven.


Furthermore, many of His Most Holy Statutes virtually guarantee a degree of frustration, rather than satisfaction. Being commanded not to covet one's neighbor's wife (or any other property of his) means that The Lord expects us to have our thoughts in line, not just our actions. How many times a day does the average true believer yank their thoughts aside like a dog trying to pee on a prize rosebush? Really following through on that Commandment should occupy a lot of time, and frustration would be the natural result, not "satisfaction".
