    Hello Christians

Hello and good evening everyone. My name is Drew and I am a man in his late 20s that has just now found the way to God.

    About me:
I grew up in a traditional catholic family, and was of course taught many lies about God and the Bible. After I married and had my two kids (one boy and one other child) I realised I wanted, no needed, something more. And that is how I found God and the Baptist church and am now on the way to being really saved. I am happier now, more than ever, but could use some tips and advice from all of you, as well as of course the bible.

My wife and children are not at all happy with my choice to accept the Lord fully and completely and bring Him into our home and life, and make Him the most important part of it. I have started to attend our local Baptist church and of course insist that my family comes along, but everytime it is a fight. And that doesn't even begin to cover the cries and complaints I get when I tell my wife she must read the bible and stop watching her ungodly shows on the television.

As for my children, my son is so obsessed with all the ungodly things, like his phone and going out to play with the catholic neighbors, that he never looks at his bible. Of course, i am to blame because i have raised him in this way. But now I am trying to fix it, for God and for him, so that he is saved.

As for the other child, well it is even worse then its mother. It hits and screams and whenever i tell it that it must speak nicely to its brother or clean it begins to go so far as to throw the bible.

I have prayed to God every night for him to help my family follow him as I do, but it would help if any of you could give me some tips. Does anyone have a family? How did you raise the kids? Does anyone have a wife that is just not godly? I want to be a good father and husband for God and just learn how to be a good follower.

    Re: Hello Christians

Hello Drew, and welcome to our friendly forums! I'm so glad to hear you've decided to answer Christ's knocking at your heart's door! I'll let the men advise you about disciplining your wife (you might want to check out some threads we have in the meantime, our tags are quite helpful to that end), but I can tell you as a wife that women who get cranky and disagreeable do so because their souls are crying out for Christ.

What you want to do is distract her from that internal nagging she's gotten herself into the habit of doing. Giving a wife many children helps to keep her occupied so she has no excess energy to judge you. It also soothes her soul, as it is in her nature to care for you (Genesis 3:16), and that includes children you can be proud of (Psalms 127:4-5). If you have less than six children, you've got some catching up to do!
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

      Re: Hello Christians

Hi .. Welcome to the forum. It is always such a joy when even 1 new soul finds Jesus, rescued from a life of darkness into His perfect light.
      LUKE 15 . KJV . context
      3
[Jesus] spake this parable unto them, saying,
4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

God has chosen you to be Redeemed, even from the mire of catholicism. He came looking for you and found you. That's how important Christians are to Jesus. Others less so. Even though the alternative is torture, Jesus explains, most people will reject His love because they are self-centred and vulnerable to indoctrination. They will believe just about anything. Possibly your children have heard things on television that contradict Jesus, which is the same as contradicting you, so my advice would be to get rid of the television.

Hello and thank you for your kind Hello. I completely agree with you on the above statement. The Lord wants us to create soldiers for Him and that is exactly what the wife does when she has children. Hopefully we will soon have some more young soldiers for Jesus.

Praise the Lord for your advice. I have taken the television away, from my children of course as I continue to watch the channels that teach us about the Lord, and I feel that it is making a big difference. Without all the time that would be spent on the Television, can now be spent reading the Bible, a task that I have given their mother to do with them, because it seems that she has some catching up to do as well.

            Hello workingman,

How is your homestead and garden doing? Do you also grow flowers?
Jeremiah 6:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

Best wishes for the people in Ukraine.

Hello and Good Evening. Actually, I prefer to let my wife do the flower growing, seeing as I already maintain the lawn as well work so that she can plant the flowers. It is more of a feminine activity after all. As for my homestead, we plan to movie into a bigger one in the next few weeks in order to make room for all the soldiers of God my wife should be giving birth to in the next few years.

Anything longer than nine months is putting off your duty, dear. God commands Christians to dominate the earth, planting seeds of the Faith of Christ all over the world so in time we can reap the harvest of religious domination... for the glory of God! Then Jesus can come (Matthew 24:14)! Besides, those darned Muslims are out-populating us. So get to work!

Anyway, I look forward to seeing your contribution throughout the forums!
