    Hello

Hi guys. I am a 14 year old girl named Phoebe looking to find Christ. My parents have recently left me with my aunt and uncle, who are both religious Baptists and they say that since my parents found no use for me and I would be staying with them, that I must first of all be saved and accept Jesus as the one I will live my life for.

I have begun to read the Bible but was wondering if there are any tips to becoming saved or just how to be a good Christian girl. It seems that I should try and be one but sometimes it is also very hard, like when my aunt and uncle said they were going to homeschool me because my friends do no accept God.

Any advice or personal experiences would be nice.

I was also wondering if any of you might have daughters because it seems that there are a lot of differences between the ways i am treated and the ways my cousin (who is a boy is treated). For example, why do they like him better and why do I have to clean and work all day and he gets to play and why do I have to listen to him even though he is a year younger than me? I know that the Bible says that a woman has a lower worth and a man, but does this apply in childhood too? It seems as if though he never gets punished and when he should be, because he did something even worse than what I did, I take the blame for him.

      Re: Hello

Other examples of this include the rules I must follow in the name of God that my cousin does not have to. For example, the fact that he is allowed to speak far more often than I am. I know this is God's will, my uncle and the Bible say so, but I suppose my question is why? My Uncle always says it is because God says so and I have no right to question his intentions. But still I wonder why the men are able to do things the women arent.

First thing you have to do is get your uncle's permission to write in this forum. Without that, we will not answer any question.

I can't believe girls of today!

Women are treated differently from men because women are created differently from men, dear. It is in a woman's biological nature to care for and obey her husband (Genesis 3:16). For this reason, a loving mother raises her daughters to learn this skill by caring for and obeying her father. A daughter's goal in life is to make her father (or in your case, your uncle) proud. In this way he has more opportunities to set up a good betrothal for you. 'Twere I you, I'd worry a little less about life being fair, and a little more about the quality of your service.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
