Dear Friend,

You should look into this in a wider perspective. The rules that dictate the Spiritual Quality of "metal music" are exactly the same as for any other genre. Here are some qualifications to help you start your assessment of your favorite tunes:

• What is the goal of a particular piece of music? It should be composed to Glorify God, to Worship Jesus, or to guide sinners towards Christ (Matthew 5:16)!
• It should be written based on the literal interpretation of the Bible in mind, preferably according to the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy (2 Timothy 3:16).
• It should avoid any lewdness, fornicatory innuendos, seductive lyrics, etc. (Colossians 4:6).

In fact, there is one "metal band" that fulfills these criteria (and many more). Our Own "Killing for Christ". Glory! It would also be useful to orchestrate the oeuvre with suitable Biblical instruments. Some examples are as follows:

Psalms 149:3
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

Another thing to consider is the Spiritual Quality of the artists. Even if the band members produce a song that on the surface is totally acceptable (it Praises Jesus, warns against sin in a seemingly Biblical manner), the music can still be harmful and detrimental if it has been composed by a person who does not believe in the Bible in the correct manner.

Psalms 14:1
(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

As you can see, an unbeliever (someone who does not believe or believes in the wrong manner) can only produce evil things. This must be taken into consideration when you examine your collections of music.

God loves metal. With out, iron spikes could never of been made and driven through his palms and Ankles. So were it not for metal, we'd not have Easter.

It's wonderful to have young people here asking questions about the Lord of Hosts and a question about why so called 'heavy metal' band like the Greens Days and the Crowded Houses is timely, indeed.

If you have any theoretical music knowledge, you might have realized that sexual normatively, metal songs are extremely different from say, Conway Twitty songs.

It is a fact that one fundamental difference is in the sexual choice usage. Sexual preference is just like what the name suggests: it is the bones of every kind of music. It is the collection of notes that will be played in a specific composition. Pop and R&B songs tend to use major scale (which sounds only slightly gay). While metal tends to use minor scale (which sound significantly more gay).

However, the fast tempo and harsh sound quality of metal bands combined with the use of minor scale alter the sound of minor scale from sounding sad/gay into sounding angry/gay.

For example, when you say "please don't anally rape" me to a homersexualists intent on rape (anal) in a slow manner, you might sound sad or desperate. On the other hand, when you say "stop it" in a loud and aggressive manner, you sound as if your were involved in a bizarre sadomasochismistically oriented protest against Jesus' clear proscription of homersexualism (Lev 20:13).

Now you might ask how angry anal rapes relates to being against Jesus. That fact is that The Bible(KJV1611) is focussed on the conditional love and forgiveness Jesus has for all who would do exactly what he wants, all of the time, forever and not on certain homersexualisticalism oriented activities that I do not want to go into on a family forum.

So there you have it. Metal music is a clarion call for one this and one thing only.

Ok I don't sound rude because I see you took time with that answer but I didn't want a essay I just wanted couple of sentences and the heck by anal sex and music in general sounding gay, some metal lyrics can promote sexual stuff sometimes with men sometimes with women but sometimes the lyrics tell you to be you and enjoy life heck there are some Christian metal bands like lamb of god and deicide but trust me metal wasn't created to promote anal sex or being gay or anything like that and if you truly think that maybe you need to open your mind for once.
