    Welcome moon123!

We have a new poster who is extremely unlikely to make an introduction so I've taken the liberty of collecting a few sample ravings here rather than derail other threads.

As far as I know rotation is a type of movement.
It may be that this purveyor of trans-human knowledge distinguishes THE EARTH from THE GROUND.
Just to cover all bases we were informed the ground does not move either.

In both cases the opposite of what The Bible teaches.

THE BIBLE .KJV . CONTEXT .. I Samuel .. Job
1 SAMUEL 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.

JOB 9:6 Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.

The location of THE WORLD OVERALL is fixed, whilst different REGIONS UPON IT may vibrate when God jostles the pillar or pillars as appropriate.

Next we were encouraged to read the koran which I already had but that is not necessary to know about deep water. Anyone visiting the seashore knows that the farther out you go the deeper it gets. Next, hire a boat. Floating away while peering over the side reveals an absolutely unmissable phenomenon: the deeper the water the darker it gets. I worked this out when I was about 3 which suggests the mental age we're dealing with here.

KORAN 24..Al-Noor.The Light . Pickthall . look up
    40
Or as darkness on a vast, abysmal sea. There covereth him a wave, above which is a wave, above which is a cloud. Layer upon layer of darkness. When he holdeth out his hand he scarce can see it. And he for whom Allah hath not appointed light, for him there is no light.

This needs to be taken in context.
Sure, the sea needs to be over an abyss..which oceans are..but we worked that out in a pedalo.
Moving along from the 3-year-old mind to that of a 4-year-old brings us to verse 43 as follows:

KORAN 24..Al-Noor.The Light . Pickthall . look up
    43a
Hast thou not seen how Allah wafteth the clouds, then gathereth them, then maketh them layers, and thou seest the rain come forth from between them..
This is not what The Bible teaches and is not taught by mad scientists anywhere
43b He sendeth down from the heaven mountains wherein is hail, and smiteth therewith whom He will, and averteth it from whom He will..
Yes, I was being generous. By 4-years I'm certain even blind children have worked out that hail does not arrive in mountain form!
There's more to verse 34 than I thought. Pre-empting science? What science?
43c The flashing of His lightning all but snatcheth away the sight.

Well here at last is something in line with actual observation. Lightning is bright! But this classed as "revelation" and the science does have something to say about these phenomena when combined. Was the prophet having "an aura" or was he simply struck by lightning? The vision does go off a bit in either case I've heard.

So with posts of this calibre and the extreme unlikelihood of an intro., I've collated a few posts here for reference. If anyone would like to read the whole surah or the verses in context together here are the links.

      Re: Welcome moon123!

It is more than regrettable but yes the mohammedan lives on carrion when Christians have tasted Jesu's milk.

      I PETER 2 .KJV . look up
      2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Mohammedans can never be acceptable to God because they 1) worship idols and 2) reject Jesus. How can we be sure? They deny His pronouncement as follows:

MATTHEW 5 .KJV . look up
      45
Be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Here we have God's word that whoever claimed He makes water selectively is surely mistaken. He rains it on us all.

          Re: Welcome moon123!

It is very unlikely. The witness of Christians was anticipated and preempted by inventing a fake Jesus so whatever I might have said would be negated by accusations of apostasy, should one pay attention to the actual Bible.

KORAN 61..as-Saff. The Ranks . look up .. Pickthall
          7a
Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie against Allah when he is summoned unto Al-Islam?
Well that is an interesting question.
7b Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.
          Whence therefore cometh their guidance?
6a When Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One..
          Excuse me while I vomit.
The man bringing good tidings of one to follow him was John Baptist.
The Praised One is Jesus Christ.
          Next we descend into gibberish:
6b Yet when he hath come unto them with clear proofs, they say: This is mere magic.

Neither Jesus nor any Christian claims the fulfilment of prophecy is magic. At no stage did Jesus say He was the harbinger of any other person or any other gospel. Jesus was it. Indeed the voice crying in the wilderness acknowledged Jesus as the resolution of all things. Don't take my word for it. Read The Bible:

MARK 1 .KJV . look up
          1
          The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Here we have announced the arrival of the unique individual. Jesus. Not someone who would declare yet another perfect man but the perfect man Himself. The gospel continues to describe how in anticipation of miraculous deliverance many came to repentance. Not at the hands of some nutbag freak but by the Hand of God.

MARK 1 .KJV . look up
          6
          John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;
7 And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.
8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him
