To Any And All Of Our Visitors Who Think That We Are A Joke:

There is nothing funny about the power of the Bible in the hands of its fervent followers.

World history has been shaped by the words of these significant texts and it continues to inform and influence the ideas and actions of people across the world today.

Some of those who look to the Bible for moral and practical guidance are powerful individuals who make and enforce government policy.

Others are ordinary folks giving of their time and money in an effort to gain the blessings offered in the Bible. Then there are those whose mental health is impeded because they live in continual fear of the judgments described in its pages.

We respect the power of this ancient text whose words resonate throughout the centuries. We at Landover Baptist Church are resolved to open the eyes of the world to its profound impact on our human community.

People have been arguing over it for millennia. These same people are often mistaken as to its contents. We simply want people to read it for themselves.

That is not a joke. The joke is how many people continue to make claims about its message when the words they use in their arguments are refuted by the very text they think to defend.

They come here and sputter with outrage at us when we are mere conduits for the frank and fascinating Truth™ about the Bible.
