I accept your apology, Ted. Thank you for taking my criticism on board without the whining we have come to expect from new users, and for complying with the forum rules and starting your own thread. Well done!

We should maybe now leave this whole sorry mishap behind us and let Elfin's thread continue on its own course?

My goodness, you sound very angry. Please don't kill anybody.

This is a loving church, and you well get nothing but love and compassion from us.

    Please don't kill me.

    Re: Introduction

    Hello,

When I was 15 years old, I was sent to prison for 2nd murder. I spent 10 years behind bars; however while I was there, I took advantage of the educational programs, and was able to walk away with some schooling underneath my belt.

When I got out, I went to a technical college and got a two year degree in computer technology, and than finished up my four year degree at a different school, getting my B.A. in Communication.

Even with the major felony that I had, I was still able to land high paying jobs in corporate America. Unfortunately, because I didn't have God in my life and nobody to help me see the truth. I've already blown through all of my savings and 401K on drugs, strip clubs, and gambling.

I have a good paying job right now, but not having Jesus Christ in my life, has made my whole prison experience pointless, because I don't feel like I'm doing any better out in the free world, than I was locked up.

So that back drop leads me to answering the questions that were asked:

When I was young, I went to Pilgrim Baptist Church, located in St. Paul, MN.

When I moved to Arizona, I met a lot of negro people who said they were Christians, but in the end, they only helped to keep moving me in the wrong direction towards Satan. I went to a whole bunch of churches out there, I just can't remember any of the names.

My favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 6:5 - Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ.

I came to find Jesus because I want to be saved. I need True Christians to show me how to worship and love Jesus Christ, in ways that haven't been taught to me yet.

If I didn't come to Jesus at this point in my life. Then I know my son will grow up to be just like me, and I want to give him the chance I never had growing up. Plus I want my son to love Jesus Christ, just like his father.

Hello and a belated to our forum, Elvin!

It certainly is. However, you need to be more careful when you are describing sins which are condemned by the Holy Bible. For example, not all abortion is condemned. There are certain types of abortion which the Bible actually supports:

Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

Here the prophet describes what will happen to Samaria because of its sins. Opening the bellies of pregnant women (which is a rather drastic form of abortion), so that both the unborn baby and its mother die, is part of God's punishment, and as such, it is the correct way to proceed. Not a sin.

The same way, killing babies that were already born, is not a sin when the babies were born into families of sinners:

Psalm 137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

So please, try to be more careful when you cite what the Bible says. God does not like when we add or diminish from His Perfect Word:

    Deuteronomy 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

    Proverbs 30:5-6
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

I am sure you do not want to be found a liar. I will pray for you.

I am a Baptist I am currently not married. I want to finish university before marriage. I will probably get an arranged marriage, and I am praying that God would bring a godly fearing wife into my life so that we can raise our family together in the Lord.

Thanks. Thankfully my family on both my parents side were both Christian before arriving in Canada. They also grew up in Christians homes.

Tell us, what church do you go to? And what is your favorite Bible verse? You know what we mean - maybe the one which means most to you, or perhaps the one that comforts you during those rare moments of existential despair, or even the one you find most helpful when witnessing to the Unsaved.
