Aaron, what you say is true...I have had my difficulties, you may be right that I am vain. Your kindness (usually) was a welcome thing to a spiritual traveler, I won't forget you for that when we have our day on the cross. Jenny, Bible Thumping Blonde....what can I say? You have been my greatest teachers with-in these forums, good going and thank you. I'll not be soon to forget your wit and humor, and how you represent God's love aka your version of a true christian.,

I must say that I entered these forum sceptical, could there be such a thing as an orginization that represents in essence what a "true christian" is? Sadly i'll be leaving you all here not having answered that question, i'll remember You All and in fact "every single word and thought you've directed/shared with & at me", for it is You who have crafted my deeper understand of things here-in. oh, ps..I came to you in peace and it is with peace that I will leave, yet be it known to understand that I found no peace in You.

Sister Roberta, seems like 2 honest questions and i'll answer them as best that I can. As to the first question the KJV is clear on the subject, your Pastor has undoubtably toached on this subject repeatedly and it is there-in your answer lay. As to the second question it sounds like rape to me, as far as I know the KJV does not address the subject of rape so i'll have to answer it for myself, yes there is a punishment I would subject such a person to, it's a very old and forgotten method which works every time and which i'll not go into the details of here. Remember Roberta that I am considered a sinner here-in and on thin ice as it is, if you follow this thread you'll see that there is someone here that is a true christian and that may have more input on the in's and out's reguarding this area of thought and the body.

Sir, I am astonished. Do you call yourself a Christian? You are completely unfamiliar with what God has to say on the subject of rape in the KJV1611 Bible?

              Re: acts 2

Well, Mr.Acts, you would have to look to the Good KJV Bible about punishing the "rapist", and possibly your daughter:

Deut 22If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
              23If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
25But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.
26But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
27For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
28If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; 29Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

                Well said, Sister Jean!

As you can see, Axe II, the Bible is quite clear on matters of rape.

Have you read it, by any chance? Or do you prefer to pontificate based upon your own imaginings of what God would say, if only God would do what YOU want Him to do?

Well thank you all for your reply, sadly you neglected to read the question I was answering! The question was specific, your replies were not. The question had to do with someone being "sodomized/buggery" which you did not address for some reason. Moses did not answer the question in Deut. as he made no mention of buggery, at least in your reply. Thank you Jean for the verses nonetheless one of the reason Jesus had to come to this earth was to change the out-dated Laws of Moses, but then you know that right. Thank you senior Pastor for not adding to the confusion with Biblical Clarity. The question was "do I believe buggery is a crime?" So now sir the question is will you answer that question with scripture and the teachings of Jesus Christ as you've been called by God to do or not? Man does not live by bread alone indeed! nor by every word that proceedith out of your mouth! what did Jesus say abour buggery? acts 2 aka axe

                    Wrong again.

Have you ever opened a Bible?

The Law is of God, not of Moses.

                    Jesus IS God.

He clearly stated He was not here to change any of His Laws:

                    Matthew 5: 17-18
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Why do you hate Jesus and spread lies about His Word?

I was not considering a forcible scenario when I posed the question--just the vile deed itself. As you know, there are men and women who voluntarily employ their nether parts in recreational pursuit. Clearly this is not part of God's plan.

Until the 1950's, sodomy was considered a criminal act throughout the US. The queers lobbied to have the protective statutes repealed and now we are spending billions of tax dollars contending with the AIDS. I wonder if Sarah will champion the passage of new buggery laws?

                        Re: acts 2

Rev. Rodimer, God be with You. Yes I have a Bible and indeed do open it. You are correct, however off base. As Jesus said he had come not to destroy but to fulfill, what do you think he ment by that? Jesus came to clarify and correct the faulty interpretation of the Word (which is God)
and as you may/must be aware He (Jesus) started more then one sermon off with "It is written that......" and He clarified the prophecy by saying "but I say unto you", get it? That's important, if we go following Moses we may find ourselve as his followers did, lost in the wilderness. What is God do you suppose? Do you know? The Word! "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. God will keep his Word Brother and God knows all that our hearts contain, be careful least you be struck by the stones you have thrown at others.

Sister Roberta, I knew that was what You were asking, I was just asking for clarification to allow others to join in, they did. I've come here to check it out, what does Jesus mean to You? i'll walk more carefully but be it known "no man is my judge", only God is authorized. anyway, nice talking to you. acts 2 aka dan

                            Matthew 5, 1-48.
SEEING the multitudes, Jesus went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: and he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

                            Jesus went on to say:
¶Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy: but I say unto you,
Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. bless you All. acts 2

And where did He say that God no longer would punish evildoers? Where did He say that the LAW is overturned?

                                Nowhere.

He commented on what "ye have heard said", not the Law. The Law does not say to hate your enemy, only to hate the enemies of God.
