    Seeking Salvation - Hi All!!

    Hi all,

My name is Christine Wallace, I am a 21 year old woman who is seeking salvation, and to learn more about the Baptist church.

I read that it started in 1609, is this correct? Why did it not begin when Christ was born? Is it that infidels/ignorant people did not realize the purity of the English separatists that began this movement?

Also, since the Church of England was the one who began this, does this mean that all Baptists can trace their religious beliefs to England, or Amsterdam, where John Smyth reportedly began preaching about the false constitution of the church?

I desperately seek your guidance, and advice.

Also, I was reading about how many people need Salvation in Europe/South America, is it true that most of the countries there are heathens/bastards which will go to hell?

I had some bad experiences with Spanish-speaking men, who wanted their way with me in school and alike, so I am starting to wonder if their lack or religious righteousness is associated with the language they speak.

    Best wishes,
    Christine

So why does your profile show your date of birth as 1965?

I read that it started in 1609, is this correct? Why did it not begin when Christ was born?
Maybe just a second or two's quiet contemplation might provide you with the answer to that.

I'm afraid I have no time to read any further right now, but I expect someone else will be along soon to deal with you.

Ah, another 'one post wonder' drive-by. From the looks of it, some sort of ghetto rat speaking ebolacs.

Honestly, I feel for the poor Pastor. He takes His time to to write out such detailed personal messages to these lost sheep only to have the porch monkeys toss feces. It takes a special kind of man.

Any how, I strongly suggest the female that started this poorly thought out thread read her Bible or if she is incapable of that. an adult that is willing to read it to her.

Christianity is not a word, it is an existence.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Re: Seeking Salvation - Hi All!!

        Hi again!

Oh my, I want to start educating myself and following the way of the lord, but I find myself bewildered by the fact that I have just first arrived at this forum, and I was already insulted by a pastor.

Why am I "scum"? Is it that anyone who is seeking the word of the Lord is refuse, or vile/worthless?

        Also:
        "Finally, please learn to spell."

Where are my spelling mistakes? The only one I saw (honest to God!) in the first post on my thread was not done by me: "internets" is not a word as accepted by Merriam Webster (exempli gratia), but rather "Internet".

My goodness! Is this normal acceptable behavior for a pastor of this faith? Do you just insult anyone who wants to join in your beliefs, and - again - begin educating themselves?

Also, why is it that my question about Baptists having only existed (professedly) since 1609 in any way offensive? If I'm not proficient in the usage of a forum or its search functions, that is precisely why I asked, and I still find myself bereft of an answer.
"Maybe just a second or two's quiet contemplation might provide you with the answer to that. "

Finally, and yet again... Why was I insulted yet again... Is this accepted behavior, to attack those seeking guidance, kindness, education, and salvation?
"Ah, another 'one post wonder' drive-by. From the looks of it, some sort of ghetto rat speaking ebolacs"

I don't even know what a 'rat speaking ebolac' is. All I know is of the disease "Ebola", and my goodness... Again I just joined the forum and not once, but twice I was insulted.

I believe Genesis 21:23 says: "23 Now swear to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or my descendants. Show to me and the country where you now reside as a foreigner the same kindness I have shown to you.”".

        Could I be shown kindness?...

        Regards..

            Hello Christine,

You are not "scum". You are "unsaved trash". And at one time, so was I. A minimum requirement for this blessed forum is that you tell us which church you attend, how you came to find Jesus, and what is your favorite Bible verse.

Reading the KJV Bible, and accepting it as the sole guide for living will count well with God. It could even get you to Heaven.

            That's a kindness, don't you think?

Re: Seeking Salvation - Hi All!!

Amazing, simply amazing. The kind and gentle pastor took time out of unbelievably busy schedule to try to bring an obviously unsaved person on the track to True Salvation(tm) and they complain.

Normally, I never talk to people (notice the 'e' at the end?) who cannot spell and certainly to those the talk in text-speak. If they are too lazy to communicate in American, then they are mostly likely too lazy to do much of anything else. Proper use of the Godly American language is what separates good, decent and caring people from the porch monkeys, wetbacks and gooks.

No doubt you expect a prize simply for existing like all the other millennial democrats.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Re: Seeking Salvation - Hi All!!

Salvation is not rocket science. Want salvation? Read the Bible. Keep all the commandments.

In doubt? Ask for that specific doubt, please show us how you got there, to that doubt, and we will help.

                Use Scripture.

There is no millennial God giving free passes to Heaven for being "cool" or just "hanging there".

So we have to put up a simple 3 step way to salvation.

                1) Do you want to get saved
                a) Yes -> Go to 2)
                b) No -> Repeat 1) Until the answer is "Yes"

                2) Have you read the Bible? ALL OF IT. KJV 1611.
                a) Yes -> Go to 3)
                b) No -> Repeat 2) Until the answer is "Yes"

                3) Have you understood what you have to do, based on the Bible?
                a) Yes -> Sure? Then show it to the world and become a True Christian
                b) No -> You can ask questions in this forums. Please first use the search question and find a similar thread, read it, post your question there.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Indeed Brother Gonz. I don't know why sinners are perpetually asking "how can I be saved?" There is only one way, as you said. There are millions of ways to be damned, but only one way into Heaven.

We True Christians are all on the path. Won't you join us there?
I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
                  Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

Hi. One thing would be to see which "denominations" are mentioned in The Bible. Here is the KJV search page:

King James Bible Online: Authorized King James Version (KJV) of the Bible- the preserved and living Word of God. Includes 1611 KJV and 1769 Cambridge KJV.

Results are displayed in a panel with links to the specific verse, where context is also given.

Baptist and baptism have been around as long as if not longer than Jesus. They just started being fully active in bringing people to Jesus without persecution in 1609.
-Ps 25:10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
