White US professor admits she has pretended to be Black for years

A seasoned activist and professor of African American history at George Washington University has been pretending to be Black for years, despite actually being a white woman from Kansas City.

“To an escalating degree over my adult life, I have eschewed my lived experience as a white Jewish child in suburban Kansas City under various assumed identities within a Blackness that I had no right to claim: first North African Blackness, then US rooted Blackness, then Caribbean rooted Bronx Blackness,” she wrote.

“To say that I clearly have been battling some unaddressed mental health demons for my entire life, as both an adult and child, is obvious. Mental health issues likely explain why I assumed a false identity initially, as a youth, and why I continued and developed it for so long."

Yes, I wondered about that. Could it be an origami lotus flower? But the accent is confusing, might be an Australian who's lived in India and Canada or some other weird combination. One thing's clear right from the off: he's a crook.

These days, people have special elocution lessons to get their real voice, i.e. something other than the larynx would normally produce. There must be a sort of mid-Pacific/Indian Ocean hybrid designed for exactly this purpose and he could have had such lessons. People do. Usually spotted as soon as they open their mouths! I've seen it:

“I . . .”
"Have you had elocution lessons?"
[blushing, flattered] “Yes.” (thinks: they noticed my being on a higher level)
"Oh." (thinks: what a moron)

Otherwise, the crook remains as enigmatic as before. When people reject Christ, is there anything they won't do? No wonder India's in such a mess. Didn't they stop missionaries from saving souls under the guise of a no conversions law? Obviously doesn't apply to their own stuff.

Amen! Sounds like they're pretty high on your list of "people who annoy you" too. I can't think of the last time I've gone a week without being called a racist. That word has been used against me so many times it is utterly without meaning at this point. I wear "racist" as a badge of honor (Matthew 5:11).

Well, I do apologize. I was just being thankful for the gentleman's good health, though perhaps my sinful nature caused this to manifest in a different way than I intended.

I already did introduce myself, though I suppose I should do so again as my previous introduction seems to have been lost to the sands of time. I confess I'm not looking forward to it if I get the same kind of reception, as last time a pastor "greeted" me by putting a bald-headed drag queen in my avatar.

And I don't know about you, but it takes me an awful long time to write something like that, at least if it's an assignment, because pages get half written and thrown in the trash and started over, and it becomes a whole process. So I finally get this thing written up to my satisfaction (and hopefully the big G's also), only to be unable to find the topic where I last spoke to this nice lady. Go figure!

But anyway, that's why I came back, to try to find that lady to turn that in to her. See, if I had these unsavory intentions, why would I be trying to make good on my word all these years later, even when all of you probably forgot the matter? I didn't forget---I keep my word!
