My name is Kristin and I've been pagan for the past 5 years or so. I've recently come to Christ and repented of my past. My knowlege of the Bible isn't quite as vast as some of the True Christian members here, but I try to read a part every night and every morning. I have one of my favorite verses in my signature, but I also happen to be fond of Psalm 23 and Matthew 6:5-8.
I am not married, but I was engaged when I was a teenager. We had plans to be married once we were both 18. Unfortunately, tragedy struck and he died in a car accident on the way to school one day. It still pains me to think of it.

Welcome, Kristin, it is uplifting stories like yours of people who are able to break free from the bonds of the pagan lifestyle to embrace the love of Jesus that makes it so worthwhile to be a member here.

Well, you are a woman after all. Understanding the Bible in its entirety is far beyond your mental capacity. Which makes me wonder: why aren't you married yet? Having a good, strong male will do wonders for you: he can guide you in your walk to Christ and keep your weak female mind from wandering.

Ah, I see--I had asked too soon. That is indeed a tragedy for you, but remember to move on. If Laura Bush had given up after she killed her first boyfriend in a car accident, she never would have met the Godly George W. Bush, and imagine what a loss that would have been for her. There is a drunk, college frat boy out there for you, and you never know--maybe he will be president in 10 years! At the very least, he'll get a Major League Baseball team to be CEO of when he graduates, anyways.

I did wear horrid goth makeup and completely dark clothes, although that only lasted about 2 years. I've never sacrificed anything, however I did know someone who sacrificed cats and insects regularly. He claimed not to be pagan and that he wasn't sacrificing anything. (I think Satan had control of him and that's why he doesn't remember) Me and all of my little pagan "friends" used to throw paper balls and spitwads at anyone with a Bible at school my freshmen year. I bought every book on witchcraft and spells that Barnes & Noble had. I even bought the Satanic Bible once. I've since thrown those out into the dumpster where they belong. I used to watch and "read" pornography regularly and "M"-ed all the time, even during that time of the month!
I feel ashamed now just thinking about all of the horrid things from my past.

I hope to be completely washed clean of these events once and for all!

You're doing the right thing. You need to get rid of all of those artifacts from your sordid youth; don't just put them in a box 'in case you might want them, later'.

Jesus can take care of that. Nothing gets out stubborn sin stains on your soul like the blood of Jesus! All you have to do is agree to give up all of your sinning, stop rebelling against God, and do the Will of God (and the will of your husband once you get married) rather than your own sinful will.

No. It's good she's telling us all that. So the Pastors have an idea of the actual size of her sins. In that way they can set the proper amount of tithing Kristin has to do to be saved.

Those are the details I can remember.


It seems I got a profile warning from a Pastor saying that my signature wasn't from the KJV and he had to fix it. The binding on my Bible does say it's the King James version (not NEW King James, but the KJV1611). I don't understand what could've happened.
