    A new start

    Hi

I'm the guy formerly known as Bert.

I discovered the Baptists a few days ago. I had never heard about them and I am not used to it yet.

Since they share values that are extremely different from mine, and that's the first time I met people thinking like that, I first thought it was a kind of sect and behaved rudely towards them. In fact, I just wanted to post a joke about religion. But they did not laugh so much, I answered and posted many times.

So I create a new login.

Let me introduce myself. I'm a 18-years old student. I'm Christian, but I do not think the Bible should be interpreted literally, since I consider it is at best inspired by God, as the Kuran or the Torah.

I believe that every people on this Earth is equal to the other. They may gain more respect by working, but no one is inferior or superior by birth.

As for many practises you condemn (I saw you strongly disagreed with jews, blacks, homosexuals, gothics, clarinets, non-baptist books and non-baptist music), I simply do not care about them. I may meet a black homosexual who is jew and listen to hip hop, he may be very kind and I won't throw a stone on his head. If he is sympathic, he could even be my best friend, it doesn't matter.

    Ciao,

    Bub

So Bert, if you don't take the Bible literally, how can you take GOD literally?

In the Bible, God has not written he wrote it himself, it's just written that it's "God-breathed"

      2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness

Pastor, I think this fellow is Bert's dody bouble )spoonerism jk(
(his English is accented with frog-speak).
So "Bub" is a good username so we may tell them apart.

If I'm getting it right, our unaccented Bert
--the one who can correct my spelling and grammar
--he has been to HAmerica four times.

        OTOH, "Bub"--unless I'm guessing wrongly,
has never seen the inside of a Genuine HAm-burger,
        nor does he know ketchup
        nor beans about Baptists.

Sorry, I've been there once, with Bert

My host familly was great (but much more moderate than you concerning religion!) and I'd like to come back.

If I'm getting it right, our unaccented Bert

Sorry, he just posted the 2 first mails. I corrected you

Can you really see that I'm frenchspeaker just by looking at the way I write?

I personally have a friend who is black. It's not my best friend, but it's a good one. There is also a girl from Rwanda in my street. She is extremely sympathic and I guess she won't rape me anally.

I'm on "your territory", but could I give you a piece of advice? Meet some of them. You'll discover that some are good guys, who work, live honestly, just like us.

Just a correction of the post where I said that I don't think we should read the Bible literally because it's only inspired by God:

                            2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness
                            It was the international version.

I checked with your own Bible, the King James, it's even more clear:

2 Timothy 3:16 (King James Version)

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Excuse me, but your lack of general culture is more and more evident.
There isn't any Atlas in your Bible? Or maybe it's a sin to have culture and know geography (just kidding, don't be angry)
