Hi all! I'm a newbie in the congregation.

I have visited the site for some time to read articles but only just discovered you had a discussion forum.

I'm looking forward to chatting about the many things we as Christians have to deal with every day of our lives.

I was raised in a southern Baptist church in Georgia. Over the years I have moved around and now I am back in Georgia once again. I am a white male of 43 years of age.

I'm concerned about America. Hopefully togather we can make a difference in the deterioration of society in this great nation.

From your choice of name, it seems you have a rather high opinion of yourself. "Elite", one might say.

That's something I'd tend to expect from a 17-year-old God-mocker, not a 43-year-old Christian.

After all, there is only one Great One, and He is Jesus, God, and the Holy Ghost.

Perhaps you'd care to share with us your favorite Bible verse or story, and request that the Pastors change your name to something less self-aggrandizing and insulting to our Lord?

HMM, its just a username I have on a hunting and fishing forum that I figured I'd use here. I am truly sorry if you find it offensive.

Never crossed my mind that it would be viewed as mocking but I suppose on a church forum sensitivities are expected to run high.

If a forum mod would contact me to define a less offensive name that would be OK.

My personal favorite passage is: 1 Cor 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

I think the deterioration of American society into a pool of rotting sin resulted in the masses voting for Obama. Most Americans want to be sheep and Obama has proclaimed himself a socialist shepard.

I don't know. It was extrememly sour. Turned my mouth inside out. I was a kid so it could have been something else.

Why would you think I'm a God mocker? I voted McCain/Palin, was there anyone else worth voting for?

The fact that I think you're a God Mocker is seperate from the question about who you voted for. I should have had them on seperate lines.

It's good that you voted for McCain. If he'd won, I wouldn't be in hiding because of all the problems we had right after the election. I may get out of here soon, but for now I feel safer down here, and I have time for research.

I think you're a God Mocker because I don't know you. Most people who come here are God Mockers, so I bet you're one too. And you said you went to a Southern Baptist church. We're Independent Baptists here, and we follow the KJV1611 to the LETTER!

So, keep an eye out for her if you make it to Freehold for a visit, friend. Just be careful, she's quite the hugger! Also, a few of the Pastors seem very eager to grab hold and give a vigorous pumping to your hand, sir!

Do you follow the KJV1611 to the letter?

KJV1611 is the indisputable word of God. Within its covers is exactly what God intended for men to follow.

There have been many cretins who over the years thought this should be re-interpreted and effectively "watered down" for people to understand. These subsequent versions are NOT Gods word. They are the words of men.

The choice is clear, you follow God's word, not mans word.
