  • Greetings

Was recommended to your forum by a former colleague of mine.

I have been a proud Evangelist follower of Christ since I was a child in west Virginia. Ever since I have stayed true to the words of the Bible throughout the best, and indeed the worst times of my life above all else.

I decided it would be an ideal moment to find myself in like-minded company: the Evangelist church in Great Britain (where I have lived with my family for the best part of 20 years) is small and oft-frowned on, and following Senator John McCain's unjust defeat my heart goes out to my homeland.

      haha, indeed

such satanic delusion of the American youth has long troubled me. Upon each of my regular visits home, I find less and less kinship with my fellow Americans: I fear what consequence the growth of Islam will have for us all.
May they see the true error of their youthful impetuousness soon.

I know!! Can you believe it? America voted in a muslim as their new prime minister. I don't think I'll be able to have 24 more wives now, it'll be restricted to 4. But at least I'll have the 74 virgins waiting for me :3

I fear the dark ages are upon us, WHERE IS XENU!!! WE NEED YOU!!!

            Dear Lewis:

Thank you for posting an introduction. I have two questions:

            1. Are you from Virginia or from West Virginia? Please clarify.

            2. While I am familiar with Evangelicalism, I am unfamiliar with this "Evangelist church" of which you speak. Please tell us more about it.

            In Christ's abundant love,

            Isaac

              Re: Greetings

apologies, I mean the west of Virginia. suffice to say I confuse people a lot with that.

I believe there is no established evangelist church, so to speak: I was simply referring to fellow evangelists as a whole.

I am glad to receive a response from a pastor like yourself, such is the reason I registered here.

5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

                    A "troll"?

And I see Matthew 10:34 in your signature the book was an inspiration to me in younger times, that verse particularly so.

Since you're an evangelist, we'd love to hear about your activities in evangelism.

                        Re: Greetings

                        Certainly,

I am a supporter of the Manchester Diocese of the Church Of England. My local parish in particular (St Gabriel), undertakes a moderate degree of Evangelical activity, which of course I try to support as best I can. The people in my community are far less hospitable towards such activity than I am used to, but ultimately I feel any such activism is beneficial alone, especially when they yield positive results for the church (we have saved many, not just for our own parish but for all churches of the Diocese)

Our activism primarily concerns the support of Bible teachings in 2 key local primary schools, contributions by the church towards charity initiatives, as well as simple and direct door-to-door rounds, where we post leaflets or even speak to those who are willing about the benefits of embracing Christ. In the greater scale my contributions may seem meagre perhaps, but the fulfillment instilled in me through the beseeching of the Lord's word overcomes all such doubt.

Elaine and I have been married since August 30th, 1973. Our eldest son, Michael, is 22 at present and studying at the University of Virginia School of Architecture He has never shared the reverence towards Christ of his family, which has always been a problem for us. However, as my son I wish him the best in his study.

My second son is named Liam, and is only 17 at present. However, he regularly attends church with Elaine and I, and is of a peaceful nature: he will regularly study the Bible, as a result of the in-depth teachings at his primary school when he was younger. (which as part of my church work, I helped to establish)
