    Rightio: Guess I should explain my intentions

    G'day all.

    I'm an open-minded person who's interested in other people's opinion. My intention on this board is to ask dodgy questions and argue them from my perspective in an effort to understand your perspective. I will not flame or troll or anything like that: I merely seek to try to understand where you are coming from and have some intelligent discussion.

    Asking dodgy questions is your reason to leave now. This is Jesus' favourite forum! You have no place to question our True Christianity(TM)!

      Ah, there's no reason for him not to ask his "dodgy" (I believe that's Australian for "shady" or "unscrupulous", correct?) questions. We are here to share the Truth about what God's Word says about God, Jesus, and Salvation, and fear no query.

        Ah, then I am mistaken I thought he meant to imply he would ask questions to challenge the one True Faith

          Oh, I'm sure he will.

          And we will pour out Truth upon him until he either sees the Light of Jesus or suffocates under the weight of Scripture.

            Let's hope to find another True Christian (TM) among our ranks soon enough.

            To the OP, have you gotten yourself a proper bible? Not just any bible, but the KVJ1611. The True bible of the True Christianity (TM)

                You must have been tired to not properly capitalize "Bible" not once but five times.

                  It is a shame then that you are obviously incapable of intelligent discussion.

                  If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

                    Our new friend Floyd has shown that he can:
                    • Assemble intelligent sentences
                    • Pose intelligent questions
                    • Argue points relatively convincingly
                    These are all admirable attributes.

                    He also:
                    • Sees what he wants to see in text, rather than what's there;
                    • Claims that the Old Testament - the bulk of God's Word - is "irrelevant", even though Jesus says otherwise;
                    • Claims that two or three verses in the New Testament are all he needs to gain Salvation;
                    • Has not read the Bible and shows no intention of so doing;
                    • Believes that his "interpretations", in which he decides for God what God meant, are valid, when the Bible is written in clear language which does not require "interpreting"; and
                    • Believes in his own imaginings of what God should or should not be/say/think/do, instead of what is clearly written in God's Word.
                    It's a shame to see someone who could potentially be Saved and eventually intelligently discuss God's Word turn his back on Salvation and the Bible, and follow that pathetic, wishy-washy "God is Love" hippie hogwash he heard from Pastor Feelgood!
