What Christianity means to me... well I actually do not like the term Christianity because it deems it a religion. Religion is not what God wants. He wants us to have a personal relationship with Him. He does not want us to be like robots or zombies that say the same thing over and over devoid of emotions. Being saved means that you believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for us in our place. He is the ultimate and last sacrifice needed.

Many churches try to teach their own rules and make up man made doctrines. They do not teach the Bible.

I know that it is hard to comprehend the Bible, God, Salvation and Grace. However, over time through prayer, learning and researching it is easier to understand.

My Uncle Kenneth was a pastor who started and helped many churches. Our family is mostly the Baptist faith. However, I do not agree with some of the fundamental doctrine. Some of it is man made rules that put chains and restrictions on people. I believe that if someone wants to attend church in jeans and a tshirt then that is fine. They are there to praise God not the church. A church is a building, it can not save you. A pastor is not God, he can not save you. Only God can save you. Many people who call themselves Christians are misleading others.

I came across this site and found it interesting that Chris attended Liberty Univ. I don't know the truth in that but was curious if he knew my Uncle.

I also am researching various subjects for Sociology and Pyschology and thought that this site would make for good research.

Once again we agree, Lorena! Most churches ignore the Bible, and instead teach that there are many ways to Heaven, or that God loves everyone unconditionally, or that we should "tolerate" those God commands us to execute. They even say it's OK to work on the Sabbath, even though God demands the death penalty for such an offense.

It's only hard to understand if you don't read it, Lorena. Let's face it, most people don't bother. They prefer to listen to Pastor Feelgood telling them what they want to hear . . . and he'll gladly do it, because then they come back and put coin in the plate.

There are far too many who prefer to make up their own god to worship, and ignore the Bible. It's out of date, they say. Or it's metaphorical. We should only obey the Ten Commandments (6 of which they then proceed to ignore). My neighbor the witch/Wiccan is a nice lady, so I'll invite her to my BBQ instead of telling her that she's going to Hell and keeping her away from my children. Etc.

They say God loves everybody, even though the Bible tells us He will cast most of humanity into eternal, infinite torture for their finite sins. They think God is some sort of sick weirdo who will go out of His way to resurrect everyone from the dead just so He can torture the sinners forever, because He LOVES them!

Wouldn't an all-loving God simply leave the sinners dead, Lorena? Rather than resurrecting them into eternal agony?

The things these people come up with would make me laugh, were it not so sad that they are so horribly misguided.

I wanted to get the point out there that not every Christian is like the satire described on the site here. I consider myself in the fundamental catergory but as I explained I do not agree with all the rules that some churches make up.

It is sad that people who call themselves Christians will spread such hate and hold judging behaviors. People like that make some people think that all Christians are like that. Also, everyone sins and to say that someone will never sin again is impossible. The Apostle Paul sinned, so did Peter, Martha had a wrong attitude at times, Judas was a fake believer etc.

The reason why I consider myself in the fundamental catergory is because I am 100% against abortion, I believe in being saved by Grace through Faith not of works, I believe the Bible to be the word of God.

Do I hate homosexuals? No.

Is one sin worse than another? No. (sin is sin)

Do you need to attend church in order to be saved? No.

Should you attend church? Yes if it is a church that allows you to grow as a Christian and it does not have doctrine that is opposite of the Bible or man made rules that are not necessary.

Do you need to dress up for church? It would be considered polite and respectful if you did not dress in clothes that show your body in an unnecessary way(mini skirts, tube tops, cleavage showing, too tight pants etc etc). If you can't afford to wear dress clothes, then wear something that you are comfortable in.

Does baptism save you? No. Baptism is symbolism that you are being born again, you are leaving the old and entering the new.

Do you have to tithe? That is between you and God. God does not want a person who gives but then complains about it. He wants a cheerful giver not out of duty but out of love.

Should a church welcome the unsaved? Of course!!! The church is supposed to!!! How else would they understand and learn about the Gospel????

Should women only wear skirts? Personally I do not see a problem with women wearing pants, as long as they are not tight and revealing. I hardly ever wear skirts. Yes, skirts are more feminine but if pants were wrong then I am sure God would have reprimanded me a long time ago about it.

Should everyone be home schooled? I used to not agree with home schooling but I actually agree with it now. This is because many schools do not teach the proper subjects. They seem to concentrate on subject that you will not use later in life. How many times in your adult life have you used Alegebra, Trigonometry, Earth Science, etc? I have not used it ever. I think instead schools should be teaching more subjects involving life skills, effective communication, job skills, English (a priority), conflict resolution, economics and some others that I can't think of at the moment.
Also, there are many kids in schools who were not raised right and they are bad influences on other kids. Peer pressure is the number one factor why kids smoke, drink and try drugs.

Ok, off my soap box... I just wanted to explain my views.

Not necessarily, but fellowship with other Christians is a good idea.

I think you're making up man-made rules to suit yourself. You're even arrogant enough to say that you expect GOD to take time out of His busy schedule -- what with the rapes and murders in Darfur, and the massacre in Germany today, and ongoing wars all over the world -- to give you a personal fashion counseling session!

He gave us a Book to tell us what to wear. He shouldn't have to repeat Himself to please you!

That's a lovely idea, but not really relevant to the Bible, which is silent on the subject.

I agree with you 100%. It is very wastefull to abort the child because then the female will not freshen. The best thing to do is to take the child away and throw it in the river and then have the female nurse the babies of the strongest warriors.

In this way the tribe will be strengthened and the slut will have usefull work and the bastard child will be destroyed.
