I would very much like to try your pie one day as well. My favorite is when they are nice and hot, and when it reaches my tongue, I embrace myself in the sweet moist flavor. I tend to be quite voracious when I eat pie as my mouth works every corner and my tongue reaches deep into the pie to capture the pleasure it brings to my mouth.

Perhaps, when your husband is away one day, I could swing by the house and try some?

Sister Clampett, I advise a little discretion in who you let sample you baked goods. This Color person is new here, and you know how colored boys are, what with their penchant for pie thievery and whatnot.

Maybe invite him over for a slice, just a taste if you will. No need to lay out a whole spread right away. Let him earn a crack at an entire pie later, when he has proven he is worthy and righteous.

Thank you Captain. I plan on being very cautious, especially since the Godly Husband is very jealous of my pie. He has had exclusive consumption of said pie for years and doesn't always give the pie the attention it deserves. At almost 35 years of age I wouldn't be at all adverse to training a young man in the fine art of pie appreciation. It will educate him in treating the pie of a young bride with love and respect. Pies must be savored properly, lest the sweetness turns to sour. I will have this young man prove himself just and true before allowing him even a crumb of pie.
