yeah, that is not gonna work for me. the bible is a book written by mortal men. many of the "books" of the bible are merely letters that a guy wrote to different churches around the mediterranean/middle east region. it is only meaningful to those who would dismiss reason for faith. i am not willing to do that.

the reason i said to prove it is because is not a reasonable request. there is no proof that what you believe is right. there is no proof that what a muslim, athiest, etc. believes is true either. it is faith not fact.

you will find intolerance and hate from any and all religious zealots. just name the religion. all fanatics act and behave in a similar fervent manner. there is no room for debate, understanding, empathy, openness, welcome or real love for their fellow man. the gist of religion is that you are judged singularly by the god you pray to. this is the litmus test for the zealot. there is no reasoning and absolutely no compromise. it is a very narrow focus intellectually. anything outside of their particular holy book is suspect and not to be trusted.

i grew up in a fundamental christian home, attended a baptist school and only really discovered the reality of the multi-cultural world once i left that community. all i am saying is don't expect too much from these folks here. you will not find many open to understanding how others think and feel.

The point is that many people who call themselves Christians (like Catholics) aren't. They ignore the Bible for their own fantasies about "gods" they dream up. They are the people who cannot legally refer to themselves as "True Christians".

You are following your own interpretation of your God's law. I grant you that.

Could you please show us where any True Christian(tm) has "interpreted" God's Law? We take it as it is written. We don't puzzle over it to twist it into something other than what it says!
