I enjoyed fellowship with this godly church many years ago and it warms my heart that it is still going! Praise!

Hello (again?) ⁓ welcome back to the forum. I've been reading Habakkuk and although I make no prophetic claims, as I read through the lovely text I can almost imagine myself in Shigionothic prayer. Hallelujah!
Habakkuk 2:19 – 3:2 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it. But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him. A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth. O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
During your absence, perhaps you've noticed how severe the wood and stone issue has become? A visit to professional offices and what's the first thing you see: a carved wooden Buddha with some glass pebbles and a little fountain. What they think it achieves I have no idea. Or again, perhaps attending a medical surgery to comfort a family member: right there done in lapis lazuli they've plonked a Ganesh wearing gold and silver ornaments with some fragrance stinking the place out.

As populations become more and more heathen, things can only get worse. Once upon a time a few Hare Krishnas playing finger cymbals in the street was as bad as it got. Sometimes they would sing. You could just cross over or turn and go in a different direction, no big deal. (Except for them, when they get to HELL, obviously.) But now if you did that, more than likely there'd be a neopagan hallucinating on ayahuasca who could start screeching at any moment. Goths, EMOs, assorted freaks and even catholics mutilate themselves regularly to commune with whomever. Demoniacs sell books about how to cast spells, crystal energy, "dream work" whatever that is, you name it and there it may be.
Obviously to name it you'd have to know it existed. These creatures invent wickedness so assiduously, however, it's difficult to keep up. You continuing contribution will be very much appreciated, in these the Last Days of all.

It's not just "still going," Mrs. McNamara. Landover Baptist has grown to a world-wide ministry.Originally posted by Mrs Peggy McNamara View PostI enjoyed fellowship with this godly church many years ago and it warms my heart that it is still going! Praise!
I've asked our staff to find your records but they have not gotten back to me. We're always concerned about those who disappear from the church, even for just a while. Did the temptation of sin draw you away?Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Oh dear. I hope I haven't said the wrong thing, mentioning crystal energies?Originally posted by Johny Joe Hold View PostI've asked our staff to find your records but they have not gotten back to me. It would be awful if it triggered a trip to Rio for Ayahuasca Therapy, to align her Chakras, and she wound up wandering in a trance along Ipanema Beach.
Here are some flowers.

Hello Ms Piggy,
I'm new here too, and while I keep a firm eyebrow raised towards the Baptist ilk (They know nothing about the love of the Holy Virgin) this church has a certain charm. It's a tragic world we are in when women pick the bear, and men watch from their cuck chair. 🥹

Not wishing to derail the intro., just curious, how can a deceased person either impart or receive love?
