Paul, you are I believe what internet experts call a troll. The term is based on a fishing technique where artificial lures are pulled behind boats. This type of fishing is called trolling.

You see, when a person on the world wide web states a false opinion simply to "get a rise" (This is also originally from fishing, flycasting in this case) out of somebody, they are referred to as a troll.

A more proper term would be to call them a lure, but because the word troll has multiple meanings, it became the popular term.

The newer combination term of trolltard combines the term troll with the word retard, a shortened version of the medically accepted term for someone born with an enfeebled mind.

A trolltard is a troll that is not very good at what he does. I believe I am being quite accurate in describing you as a trolltard.

Welcome to God's favorite forum where proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure are always appreciated. Racism is never tolerated here. Given the statement above I can understand the sentiments of Miss Vavoline and Luther. I think you owe both of them an apology.

I obviously misunderstood your point. Please better articulate what you're trying to say as it wasn't clear to me the first time.

I didn't realize you asked me to comment on Luke 4:4. The only scripture I recall seeing you mention was 2 Tim 3:16. But I can happily answer that. Just like food, not all scriptures hold the same value. I can probably live if I eat nothing by potato chips, just like reading the geology versus in the Old Testament. However, if I want to get more nutrition and be healthier than I probably should have fruits, vegetables, meats, etc...Thank you for supporting my analogy.

By hard I meant a hard read, which is synonymous with less productive or boring. It's not as profitable reading endless geology as it is reading the actual words of Jesus. Please tell me you knew.

Let me remind you that your original point was that you "kinda skip certain books in the Old Testament because they're kinda hard." Now you admit that all Scripture is profitable. You therefore admit that you "kinda skip" something that you know to be profitable. Regarding the $5 and $20 bills, a better analogy to your argument would be that you just throw away every $5 bill that passes through your hands.

All scripture is profitable, some more than others though.
It's OK to acknowledge. It's no slight against the Bible, to think so would be short sighted and ignorant.
Why don't you read Nehemiah 7: 8-69 and tell me if that scripture is as rich as the Beattitudes in Matthew? It's like currency, some of it is worth more spiritually than others. If you believe otherwise than I'll sell you my $5 bill for $20.00. They're both paper currency right? So they're both worth the same.
