Re: Merry Meet!
Ugh I did not mean to but believe what you want.
Diclaimer: Sister Mary Maria did not say "However I meant Harry Potter is a real character and can not be worshipped".
I said it. I did not mean to make it look like it was said by her. However due to the fact that I am still getting used to the gadgets on this forum I made a mistake.
Sorry for any confusion or upsetting any one.

I don't know what kind of hippy drugs you're ingesting, but none of that explains why you put it in the quote to make it look like I said it.Originally posted by Butterfly View PostI do not know why real turned into real....

I do not worship Harry Potter as he is a fictional character and therefore can not be worshipped.
Thank you for such a warm welcome!Originally posted by WickedWitch View PostMerrily Met, Butterfly, and welcome to the forum.
I would like to thank you for your posts. This may sound strange, but very often n00bs' posts are fraught with grammatical errors, including ridiculous punctuation (or none at all), and atrocious spelling. Yours, on the other hand, are easy to read (and enjoyable) and one can clearly tell that you're a polite, well spoken, intelligent person and that you put thought into your responses before typing them. So, thank you.
I would also like to apologize ahead of time for the Landoverites. I know, they haven't been mean yet, but there will be those who, out of enthusiasm for their religion and concern for you, are slightly less polite. Don't take it personally, they just get swept up in the excitement they have for their beliefs and the eagerness they have for sharing said excitement tends to run away with them.
P.S.
To those Landoverites who have been nice, and who will continue the niceness, I would like to thank you also. It's great to see you share your beliefs in such a civil way, it makes me really happy (and quite proud of you actually), and things are just much smoother and more comfortable when everyone's getting along, even if they're not necessarily agreeing.

Re: Merry Meet!
Rev. I do not personally pray to a "horned one". Although other Wiccans as well as pagans do.
I was not aware that by defining merry meet I was mocking your god I am sorry it was interpreted as such.
I was just trying to explain it was not homosexual in definition.

Re: Merry Meet!
Very nice to meet you, Butterfly (what a beautiful name! Butterflies are so pretty!)
Personally, I am a Christian though not a member of the Landover Baptist Church, though I am very good friends with them. In my church, we often go on spiritual retreats into the woods and invite people of all religions, including wiccans, to come along. We sit around the campfire and sing kumbya, holding hands and praising whatever deities we may (or not, you know, if praying's not your thing we totally accept that) before we strip naked and express our divine love by having a orgy. It really brings you so close to Christ (or whatever God/whatever you do or do not worship).
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

Re: Merry Meet!
Practising Wicca without magic.
Just as you pray to your god so do I pray to mine. Without magic.
Just as you celebrate holidays that have significant purpose in your beliefs as do I. Without magic.
Just as you ask for guidance from your god, I do as well. Without magic.
Rev. you do not have to be a witch to be Wiccan or Wiccan to be a witch.

Re: Merry Meet!
Butterfly, the problem is everything you speak of is in direct contradiction with what the Bible teaches us is necessary for eternal life. I hate to tell you, but you won't be going to Summerland....oh it'll be warm, very warm, that's for sure.
I don't see how you can practice Wicca without doing spells and rituals. Can you explain yourself?
Lastly, it doesn't matter if "you think you are doing okay" because you don't decide the fate of your soul. God does. God will decide if you are doing okay and by staying on this path you are on now, it doesn't look good in your favor. It doesn't matter how "good it feels" or if it feels "spiritually fulfilling"...those are just tricks Satan uses to ensare his victims. If you want to feel something REALLY GOOD, accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior!

Re: Merry Meet!
Thank you Rev. it would seem that you are a good person deep down as well!
However I am not tempted by witchcraft. You can practise Wicca without performing any magic at all. I find true peace in my spiritual path not magic.
Good sir I believe in reincarnation. When I die i believe I will go to the Summerland and await my time to be reincarnated back to the Earth to learn more life lessons that are needed in order to stop the continous cycle of reincarnation and sit side by side with my makers.
Do not fear for my eternal soul for I think I am doing okay.
