    Hi

I am a reborn christian I came to christ about 5 years ago when i was very sick. I am now healed thanks to the almight lord and my savior Jesus Christ. I have been struggling with trying to keep myself on track. I try to read my bible daily and pray too.

I am having a problem with lieing though i just cant seem to leave that part of my past life behind.

I have some days when i am depressed and i pray to the lord to take this sin away but for some reason he doesnt seem to listen or i get no response.

is it wrong to play video games on rainy days. i play the elder scrolls games the games have no effect on how i act and what i do in real life. I typically play as a monk or a paladin as i like being a good person.

      Re: Hi

Hi, and welcome my beautiful Brother in Christ. I suppose I must preface my remarks by saying I'm not actually a member of this church, and my believes differ from theirs on several points. Anyway...

Your saying you want God to take away your sins. Dear brother, this is unnecessary. God already took away the sins of everybody in the world when He temporarily died. Now, no matter what, everybody goes to heaven. Every single person. Every murderer, rapist, thief - every single one has been saved. So your problem with lying is pretty insignificant. Just love your neighbor as yourself is all God asks for (and even if you don't do that you'll still go to heaven!)

Excuse me, but have you read the Bible?

2 Corinthians 10: 3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds
        5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Ecclesiastes 5: 7For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.

1 Timothy 1: 3As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
4Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

1 Cornithians 13: 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

1 Timothy 4:7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

Titus 1:13-14 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

Your welcome, Brother. Isn't it just wonderful thinking someday we will be up in the clouds, praising God forever, holding hands with the likes of Hitler, Bin Laden, Charles Manson, Attila the Hun, Fred Phelps, all the members here of the Landover Baptist Church, etc., singing to God and basking in the knowledge that He loves us all exactly the same? It makes me feel warming and tingly inside

Yes, I do practice what I preach. Please explain to me where and how I have quoted the Bible out of context (preferably by you quoting the Bible in context). Now quit your warmongering here on our forums.

BTW, your Pastor is a whore

Sir, I am simply stating what the Bible says. If you don't believe me, read 2 John 1:5-10 and see what it says. Then read the read of 2 John 1, then the rest of 2 John, then the rest of the Bible! You will soon see we are never told to love everyone whether Christian or not.

i hope your struck down by the lord and smithen with this grace and mercy.
I see. You wish I be struck down? How loving of you, hypocrite.

Does not Jesus' greatest commandment in part state 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
