    Sorry it's late!

Sorry about posting this late! I just joined today, and I've already made a thread with this in it, but it's better late than never, huh?

Now, just to start off, I am currently a Christian, the church I go to is non-denominational, but is Protestant in customs. I was raised Catholic, baptized as an infant, confirmed as a child, and followed the custom of Communion (wine and wafer, representing Christ's gift to his disciples at the Last Supper). Please, I must ask you (because I've seen these actions rampant on here), do not insult my upbringings, as I do believe that Catholicism is a very legitimate form of Christianity, it just happens to be a most rite and tradition-based mass as opposed to lectures or sermons.

During my life, my family's been through a lot of difficulty (my sister was diagnosed with depression and bi-polar disorder at a young age, but she no longer suffers from it, after years of treatment.) During that time, I lost Faith, but now I like to believe it was a bit more than medication and doctors that made my sister better. Recently, thanks to my new church, and my wonderful girlfriend (with whom we have vowed abstinence till marriage, mind you ), I've come back to God and Christianity.

Was there something else I'm supposed to post as well? I thought someone said something about favorite Bible verse...does it matter if it's Old or New Testament?

WE haven't made pie?! WE cook TOGETHER?! How can you teach her, her place when you are sharing the burden of her chores? Why aren't you too worn out from a Godly days work?

Because I'm not a sexist person, and I care about her. It's more fun to spend time with her than ordering her around. Jesus spoke first with the woman of Samaria, a town that is stereotypically bad, yet he did it anyway. God is not a sexist, why should I be?

And as for a Godly days work, our first date began with 6 hours of charity work for some of our church's elders.
