I have to say this does worry me a bit. The Bible tells us that it is the literal word of God.

2nd Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"
Deuteronomy 4:2 "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."
Revelation 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
Psalm 12:6-7 "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

It is not possible to beleive in God if one picks and chooses the bits about God one likes.

People need to know what Christianity actually means. Many people seem to thinks that it fine to be 'nice' and think Jesus simply loves everyone.

But they fail to realise that Christianity is a religion: it has rules, strictures, and bans that we are obliged to follow.

I have no personal beef with gays but my religion tells me they are an abomination and should be killed.

That's not really what I would choose but I am a Christian. It is a difficult thing to be a Christian and I trust that Jesus has a very good reason to condemn gay people to eternal torment in the lake of fire.

That is the essence of faith. That is why I'm a Christian. But it is never easy.

Thank you very much, I was expecting the next post to be about how I'm evil or something like that. I'm glad you explained that so well, so even if you don't agree completely with what gods teaching you but you follow anyways you should be considered a good Christian? That's exactly what I wanted to hear, you are what a Christian should be. There are too many branches off of the Catholic religion that change the rules to how they want to live. I don't think the King James version should be followed, i think the Old Testament is the only one that people should be following, but to each his own, as long as it doesn't impede other peoples lives.

I don't believe it for a second, that's why I'm not Christian. I do agree with him though, he seems to be a nice person, unlike most of the people here. I think as long as someones not trying to destroy other peoples lives it doesn't matter what they believe.

And here is another good Christian, I've read some of your other posts and I really don't think we'd get a long in real life, but you follow the bible to the T, and you can think for yourself, you don't need to continuously quote the bible over and over again to convert people, or to chase them off. No I didn't read all of it, if they're using woman that choose to with they're own free will, whether it be through religious practices or not, that is the woman's problem. If you let someone tell you what you should do, even if it goes against what you think is right, you are the only one hurting yourself.
