    Greetings from down south...

    Hello all,

My name's Adriane and I'm currently attending what shall remain for awhile, an un-named college in the south studying psychology. I also work part time in a job that bores me to tears sometimes...buuuttt, the people there are nice and for the most part it's a supportive Christian atmosphere.

I struggled with mental health issues in the past, but am now happily past those and looking forward to a future in our Armed Forces before eventually going back to school/getting married/having 2 girls 1 boy. Not that I have names picked out already or anything.

I was raised in a nominally Catholic and somewhat hypocritical family. I continued in this faith until I experienced -significant- trauma 4 or so years ago. Floated around in atheistland for awhile, until my best friend enlisted back in January 2008. That completely turned my life and my belief around. There's a long and complicated story there, but I love that man with every fiber of my being for recharging my belief in Jesus. There is a very powerful force out there protecting him as he serves our country, that I have a determination and strength in. And that force is called God and his angels.

What's your favorite verse from the King James Bible? Have you set a wedding date yet? As for "2 girls 1 boy," I trust you actually mean as many little soldiers for Christ as He is pleased to bless you with.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Do you have permission from the relevant man with authority over you to be viewing this forum?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

My favorite bible verse is Micah 7:19, about God having compassion on us sinners and throwing our iniquities into the depth of the sea. I also have neither husband nor boyfriend, and thus no wedding date. As for permission, yes, of course I do. I certainly wouldn't be posting on the site if it was forbidden in some fashion.
