  • Wanting more.

Ok short summary of my "christian" life. I attended a "christian" private school{Hope Lutheran} k-8. I attended a "christian" private school {Highlands Christian Academy}8-12 class of "96"! After some time and feeling myself fall father and farther away from God, I am wanting to learn more. I am currently attending a nondenomination church {LifeChurch} and really don't feel that it is the place for me. {For eample}They{LifeChurch} have a gay[well pretty certain he is gay] lead singer.

Well really not certain in what I may gain from you folks but, I am sure ya'll will help guide me in my search for the one beloved Jesus.

BTW,,before being asked,, my favorite bible verse is,,well actually not a certain verse but, a entire chapter...Psalms 25.

Blessed are those who fear the cross.

    Re: Wanting more.

Welcome to God's favorite forum, Chuck. How old are you? Why do you attend a "nondemoninational" church? Are you afraid of committing yourself to Jesus? Jesus wants us to be ON FIRE for Him, friend.

Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Why do you say "christian" instead of the normal, respectful way: Christian?
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

      Hi Charlie! Welcome!

First, you need to break off your relationship with that homer temptress singer. Believe me, I know it can be difficult to turn away from the sins of the flesh, but the reward is eternal life with Christ!

The first step in truly welcoming Christ into your life is to admit you are an abject sinner, worthy only of Hell, and renounce and confess all your sins.

Unburden your soul to us here, brother, we can handle it. We've heard everything. Leave out no details - Jesus doesn't like evasion.

Bless you brother, I look forward to witnessing your journey on the True Path!

You sure use some unusual punctuation. Were you homeschooled by wolves?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

          Re: Wanting more.

          Well.Pastor E.
I attend a nondenominational church basically because I have not found the right church for me yet. I want to be part of a church that I feel passionate about.

As far as capitalization,,,well I am not perfect as our Lord.

Now as far as being on fire for Christ,,that I am...I have tried on multiple accounts to lead my friends and family along with some strangers to the wonderful life set fofth by the Lord. However I know that I am lacking much knowlegde and am here to see if you{the members} would help educate and provide me the wisdom to Go out and share the great Word.

          Kind Regards,
          "Charles"

Whoa there Brother Avatar, you seem to be getting this miscountrude. I am not the gay party here. I was mearly stating that one of the eamples that I don't feel the church is for me is because, of the almost certainty that the singer is gay.,,

As far as my spelling and punctuation,,,I never said I majored in English.

            Age is 32. Native American,Irish,German.

We understand that you didn't major in English, but we would appreciate it if you made an effort to write in normal American English so that we can understand you. That includes proper use of ellipses (three ..., not three ,,,).
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Now that's quite the challenging combination. You'll also have to learn to drink the firewater/whiskey/beer in moderation even in Oktober.

                Prayers headed your way friend.

There seems to always be one in the crowd that wants to correct people typing...., Anyway look I am not here to get a education on Proper English,,If I wanted that I would hope on a plane and go to England.

Now I am not trying to cross anybody. However I will not tolerate anyone looking down apone me for not having proper grammer while typing on a forum.
If you wish to help me with my journey with Christ that would be awesome. However if you do not wish to help your advice is not needed.

                  kind Regards, Charles

Brother Charlie, if you are so resistant and defensive about help being offered with something as simple and trivial as proper grammar, how then can we believe that you won't be far more resistant to the truly important guidance we have to offer you that will lead you to the Lord?

                        Well Brother Avatar,
I have learned that there are some things in life that are far more important than others. At this moment I feel that finding my way is far greater than if I can write/type proper. Now if you{the members would like to coach me on my writing/typing,at a later date, I am sure that would be a very vaulable tool once I have that tools spread the Good Word via this and other sites.

Just keep reading and you should be able to follow some simple standards, like putting a space after punctuation and not before it. (You haven't been failing in this area, but we get a lot of numbskulls here who can't even puncutate properly).
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

I take that as a compliment.

However keep in mind that there are a few ooppss in your own post. Example,,,numbskulls! maybe you meant numskull's,numskulls, numb skulls, or numb-skulls. Another one would be puncutate . Did you mean punctuate? I think we shall call the grammer and spelling a drawl.

Friend, God's favorite country is America, so it stands to reason that His favorite language is American.

He does care about details like grammar, puncutation and spelling, too. Are you familiar with God's Holy Word at all?

"one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law" - Matthew 5:18
It's all or nothing with Jesus, pal.
