    Jacob

Hello all, my name is Jacob. Like many others before me, I have lurked in the shadows, reading and learning. I am young, and can't quite call my self a man as of yet. I am fixing to marry the most wonderful woman I have ever met, and I believe that God put her on this Earth for me. Her family raised her well, and she knows her place.

Like many young men, I rebelled and did many stupid things. When I learned my lesson, I came crawling back to both my Heavenly Father and Earthly father. They, I believe, have both forgiven me. Right now I am going to college, persuing my calling to be a Pastor one day. I am a freshmen now, and haven't really started on my major.

I'd have to say my favorite verse is Acts 3:19-22

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
I guess my reasoning behind it is because the Lord showed me his mercy and forgave me for all the sins that I committed, plus it just spoke to me.
    Matthew 6:26
26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Shout Glory! It's wonderful when Jesus fills strapping young men with His white-hot love and sends them our way. Welcome to God's favorite forum, Jake.

Please share your testimony with us. What sins and debauchery have you been wallowing in? How did you come to accept Jesus? What church do you attend?

If you have any favorite Bible verses, please share them by all means.

      Re: Jacob

Thank you, very much for your warm welcome, Pastor Ezekiel. I was a very rebellious teenager. I drank and smoked weed and have had sex with several different females. My life changed when I was 19 and my mother broke down crying and begged my to change my ways, then my father came into the picture and beat me. When he was done, I was on my knees. I prayed for over an hour, begging our Heavenly Father to forgive me. Since then I have started going to college, I am persuing a degree in Biblical Science, but hope to become a Pastor at my Church, Willow Creek Baptist Church. We are located in Ft. Worth Texas, the Church as mosting lovingly allowed me to speak on several occasions, mostly to thier youth group (ages 14-18) about the life that I led and how Jesus came in and changed me.

        Re: Jacob

Welcome Jake. I had the good fortune to visit Ft Worth a couple of years ago when I was still allowed entry to the US. I visited your church and had a lively chat with Pastor Eubanks. Is he still your pastor? If so, tell him Bro A from Canadia says hi.

I will indeed give Pastor Eubanks your hello. He has been quite the help to me and my path to Salvation. My fiancee is most fond of him as well, she wants him to be the one that puts us into wed-lock.
