Well I'm new to the forums but have been reading the site on and off for many years now. I'm a big believer in hell and damnation, or rather I was until Jesus saved me from myself and where I was headed for. I'm an electrical engineer with some funny ideas but hey, what's new about engineers having funny ideas?
Divorced, four kids (as far as I know), Craig, Alan, James and wee Andrew and now living all alone in sunny Stonehaven after a couple of years living back in my hometown of Dundee (God's Gift, Hill of God etc are some of its older names, see later). Dad was a joiner (carpenter) and my mum helped him out in their DIY shop etc, went into engineering because I saw Prof Eric Laithwaite playing with flywheels on his Children's Christmas lecture and his ideas and what they pointed towards quite took my fancy.
Oh I should say I also have a bit of a God complex but that is quite common in "men of science", whose dads are carpenters and who come from Dundee I am told, Faraday used to visit there often as the Sandeman Church he was part of was established there, he was quite religious, http://www.asa3.org/ASA/PSCF/1991/PSCF6-91Eichman.html , sounds very like our Church actually in how it worked and anyway one of the top ten commandments is "Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain" .... so I've taken his name for myself, and surely not not in vain. Not sure poor old Faraday would approve but what the hell eh!!
I seem to remember a while back, I haven't been on for a year or so, the site was a bit funnier than now, maybe everyone is getting tired fighting the good fight but as ever I'm up for a bit of smiting to get things back on track.
I have already been warned for irrelevancy by Pastor Ezekiel which is wonderful, I'm always being chucked out of things, I had an allotment when back in Dundee but was booted off by the committee after a couple of years for allowing too many weeds to grow "but I like weeds" I said to no avail, so I fully expect to be booted off this forum for just being me, wheels within wheels and all that. I feel I am right at home just like on my allotment and having pitched my tent with man no doubt I'll be given my marching orders to SATAN's lair soon enough, ...... as usual.
God (Top Concept, ....... don't worry I'm a mere irrelevancy
, have fun)
PS I always thought the funniest bit on the site was the childrens book about Levi the cockroach, ...... wonderful stuff, if only it could come true and the banks not be bailed out this time. Pastor Hardwick is also wonderful. Not sure I like that Betty woman though and all that hate and stone throwing.
PPS Yours in Christ, God. http://www.bodgeitandscarper.org/ and no dear Pastor Ezekiel it isn't spam its about God and how he came to be, unbeknownst even to himself, the greatest story ever told.
And if we can all get a bigger tallywhacker out of it by building machines based on it maybe even worth a wee read, I mean what did you expect from the second coming ....... miracles? Or machines that can perform miracles? God is an engineer.
