    New here...

I'll probably get banned for life with this post, but here's who I am.

I grew up a Southern Baptist. Went to church... well... religiously... from age 5 to age 23. I haven't been to church at all in about ten years. I believe you can worship God whenever and where ever you feel the calling.

I, like most of the "trolls" you seem to disdain, feel that God is a God of love. He loved the adultress caught in sin, he loved the centurion enough to heal his slave, he healed a woman's daughter, he drove out demons... All those people had faith in him, and he showed his love by healing them. He also told them to go and sin no more. He NEVER said anything about hating anyone.

I believe that the Bible was inspired by God, but it was written (and translated) by men. Who knows what kind of errors may have crept into all those translations over the centuries (millennia?)

I believe in God the Father; I believe that Jesus was His only begotten Son, born of a virgin, grew up, did His Father's work until being crucified for ALL our sins; I believe He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven where He reigns today at the right hand of God Almighty, and I believe He will return one day. THAT'S my faith.

Thank you for reading this, and I ask for your prayers, that God and Jesus will continue to guide my path.

Well, you haven't been reading the Bible. God loves the elect. He hates everyone else.

Leviticus 20:23 And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

Psalm 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Psalm 11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Proverbs 6:16, 19 These six things doth the LORD hate ... A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Hosea 9:15 I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings.

Malachi 1:3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

I believe that the Bible was inspired by God, but it was written (and translated) by men. Who knows what kind of errors may have crept into all those translations over the centuries (millennia?)
Well, considering the amount of early Greek and Hebrew manuscripts we have that are identical to the Bibles we use today, I'd say the burden of proof is on you to show how you think the Bible has been corrupted.

    I believe in God the Father; I believe that Jesus was His only begotten Son, born of a virgin, grew up, did His Father's work until being crucified for ALL our sins;
Jesus didn't die for everybody's sins, just for the elect.

You'll say "but doesn't 'whosoever believes' mean that everybody has the chance to believe?" Nope. Turn a few pages to John 10 (you may be surprised to find that there is actually more to the Bible than John 3:16, but believe me, there is). You will find in John 10:11 that Jesus says "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." Later on in verse 26, Jesus says to some unbelievers: "But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you." Uh oh - you John 3:16 heretics have a few problems on your hands. Jesus says He came to die for the sheep, and then proceeds to say that only His sheep can believe. In other words, only the people for whom Jesus died will believe. Note that the reason that unbelievers don't believe is BECAUSE they are not His sheep. This passage explains who the world is in John 3:16, and it's clearly not everyone. Furthermore, the only people who can believe are the ones whom God has ordained to eternal life. "And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed." Acts 13:48. So, if you have been ordained to eternal life, that means that you will believe, you are one of God's sheep, God loves you, and He sent His Son to die for you so you wouldn't be condemned. If you have not been ordained to eternal life, that means you are not one of His sheep, you NEVER will believe and are already condemned.

You've got some serious self esteem issues along with some parent/child ones. I shudder to think of what terrible things happened to you to cause you to turn your back on God and why you think we will ban you.

      Such a shame.

      Everyone here loves you, friend!

Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

This is true, that GOD loves us enough to give us slaves and heal them when they are sick touches me very deeply. If only the liberal government hadn't spat in GOD's face by forcing us to free our slaves.

He NEVER said anything about hating anyone.
Wrong. If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. -Luke 14:26

Aha, so we've got a feminist on our hands! I suppose if the Bible had been translated by women you'd claim it was perfect!

Thank you for reading this, and I ask for your prayers, that God and Jesus will continue to guide my path.
That He guided you to our church is a good start. There is hope for you yet.
