I'm a norwegian christian.
My Lord and Saviour is Jesus. I'm still quite young, so I have joined this forum to learn from the wise christians on this site.
I enjoy playing and listening to music.
I play bassoon in an orchestra and bass guitar in a rock/metal-band.

What can I do to make sure I'll end up in Heaven?

For a start, burning your 'rock' CDs and listening to the Lords own music will be a foot in the right direction. Have a look on teh net for Prussian Blue and Heritage Connection. I am also concerned about the bassoon - is this played in a Godly way? Tell us, which is your favorite King James V bible verse, and tell us about the church that you attend.

Brother Mark is right! Rock music is of the Devil. And unless you are a girl already, the bassoon will make you gay almost for sure! How do I know? How many famous straight bassoon players are there?

Just a couple of questions, does it stand anything in the bible about rock being the music of the devil? Who decided that? I enjoy listening to that kind of music, but to get salvation I have to stop? And what is God's music?

And TheLordSavedMe, I know many bassoon-players and not one of them is gay. And the world's maybe "best", Dag Jensen, is happily married to a woman, so what you are saying is wrong. And how will an instrument make you gay, anyway?


But basically what you are saying is that i have to give up the things I enjoy doing at my spare time to get salvation?

I mean no disrespect, I'm just curious.

Mr Moog, yes, anything that brings you pleasure that is not connected to your bible study or Godly work is going to etch a space for you next to the devil. The sensation of the bassoon is very likely to instigate experimentation with other 'weird' instruments, and before you know it, you'll be lusting after the 'pink oboe' of other men, and you'll be sodomizing your way around town. Look at the amount of gay musicians in history - there is clearly a link there, don't you think? And you'll also notice that many male hairdressers are also amateur musicians. You have been warned.
