I suppose this is where I say hello.

    I'm Alyssa.
I'm not sure I agree with everything you believe about god, the bible, or religion in general.
I was raised jewish, but I don't agree with everything.
And I've recently started going to church on Sundays, and I like what they say.
I'm really just trying to figure out what I believe.
    so.. Hi

Hi Lyssie! Did you get a copy of the KJV1611 Bible yet? It is the last book you'll ever need.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Well, he was a lot nicer to you than he was to me, so I'm assume you'll do well here.

Well, I decided that telling them everything to piss them off was not the best method.
I haven't. I can't focus when I read, so I've never made an effort to read from the bible, but I love hearing the stories.

Oh Lyssie, I am so disappointed in you. Here I thought you were normal but in reality, your are part of the witches covenant.

I don't think I need to have a name for what I believe. I follow some jewish customs, because thats how I was raised, but I also believe in things like forgiveness, and I think jesus was an amazing person.

17 and not married? You know what they say; for every year lost, make it up to the Lord with by producing an extra Soldier for Christ.

I can see that you lack the guidance of a man. What do your joo parents have to say about your interest in Christianity?

I do have some guidance. My boyfriend is a Baptist.
My parents think that I should believe whatever I want and its good that I don't follow what I'm told blindly.
My mother even went with me the first time I went to church.
She grew up protestant but converted when she was 23.

You mother became a Jew? Are your boyfriends parents good Baptists? What do they think of their son dating a Jewess (or have you converted)?
