    God saved my life

It has been a rough life. I went through the years wondering how God could let such horrible things happen. I knew about the bible but I never really accepted it as fact.

    Then....

    I had hit rock bottom

My walked in on my girlfriend having sex with some guy. I couldn't believe it. She was supposed to be the one. I wanted to marry her....

    I already bought the ring.

I am not a hurtful person. My first reaction was shock and then I felt a huge emptiness inside of me. I felt myself "empty out" so to speak. I literally could not hold myself up. I fell to the floor. Tears filled my eyes and caused me to lose all of my senses. A strange surge of strength filled me, most likely caused by a surge of adrenaline. I jumped and ran from the room. I got into my car and drove away...fast. I didn't want to live. My life was over. I drove my car directly towards a telephone pole at 50 miles an hour.

I was not wearing my seat belt.

    My air bag came out.

Why is this so important? My air bag light was on. (my car has one) The sensor which is supposed to determine you are in a crash was already set off so there was no sensor to make the air bag deploy.

My brother in law has no idea how the air bag was able to come out. He said himself it would not be possible for the car to know to deploy it.

Dear God I am so thankful for the life that you have given me. I pray ou forgive me and my foolishness in the past and help me do your will.

    Praise Jesus!
    Amen!

Well that brings a tear to my eye. What a wonderful testimony of the love God has for all his children.
Tell us more of yourself, how old are you?
What church do you attend? What is your favorite Bible verse?

      Re: God saved my life

I am 28 years old and happily married to my wife. We were married at my church, St. James Evangelical and I am so happy that things turned out the way they did. I met the perfect woman, we support each other and trust in Jesus together.

My ex-girlfriend was not perfect, she was a smoker and did not go to church regularly. I now know it was all for the best....but....

It hurt me. So bad. It's been about 5 years now but I have scars from the relationship, emotional and psychical. I met my ex while DJ'ing at a bowling alley for late night bowling. After our break up, I asked her to please stop coming because it hurt me so much.

      You know what she did?

She brought her new guy there. Where I worked. I had to work, watching him putting a hat on her head, touching each other, kissing. Flirting.

I still did my job. It hurt me so much I can not even put it into words.

My favorite scripture if it's the newer translation is:
      1 Corinthians 13

1If I speak in the tonguesa of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,b but have not love, I gain nothing.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Faith and love are so important and this scripture is so special to me.

You're jealous of HIM? You don't need that tramp and you should be happy that he's stuck with her. She's bound to do the same to him.

You know what it's like with women. Once they're gone, they're gone. Count your blessings. She could have married you and left with half of everything you have ever worked for and you would be living in a truck down by the river at this point.

I hope you aren't torturing your wife to get back at the girl who left you. That wouldn't be fair. Did I tell you to get over it, yet?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

I am glad that you and your wife have found Jesus. If you could do all of us a small favor, when quoting scripture from the Bible, use the King James 1611 Version. It will help all of us understand you a bit better.

Now tell all my Brothers and Sisters, why has Jesus guided you here today? How may we be of help. Having woman trouble, can't keep her in the kitchen?

Say how many little Soldiers have you given Jesus?

No way! I treat my wife like a queen. She is always there for me and I am always there for her. I am so happy that things turned out this way because now I can tell that this is who I was really supposed to be with. It all happened for a reason and I was stupid. I thought I could end it all in my madness but God would not let me. I was a fool. I have seen the light through Jesus and my faith is stronger than ever.

I may have had a horrible experience which broke my heart...

But my heart is patched back together.....

            Stronger for the break.

You need to meditate on being OK alone. When I cross the valley of the shadow of death, I a lot of times go into a trance, and I am at one with Jesus on the cross. When I fully feel the whole image of being at one with him, all my suffering and harsh pain is completely relieved. It's a pretty deep meditation, but the state of mind yours is in, it probably would come easy. Go to Jesus!

To James: I have yet to have any children!

                    This is a touchy subject....

AS happy and loving as I am with my wife and that we both have accepted Jesus as our Lord and savior.. she has a major weight issue. I do not know why because she eats like a normal person. Both her and I are very worried about health issues if she became pregnant. Both for her and for the child. =(

Perhaps if you lived a Godly marriage you would have children.
"Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." Genesis 3:16 KJV1611
