Welcome, welcome, Giacomo . I am The Omerta.
Thank you for the welcome, Omerta.

Before you all start asking me about whether or not I have found Jesus or if I would "tithe", I must decline. I am not here to find a new religion. I am not here to donate money. I'm just here to have interesting discussions about various things in the world with a variety of people.

Well, that is all for now.
          Au revoir.
Wow, you were activated pretty quick. Didn't you just register, like, two or three days ago. It doesn't look like you're off to a good start though.

I told you they were gonna do that! You should have just gone with Casanova.

Anyway, welcome to the forum. I hope you have a lot of fun.

Don't you think it's cute they way they tamper with the names? They're quite clever about it, really -- I just love yours!

I believe you when you tell 'em you're from Texas -- why would you lie about where you live?

Hmm, on second thought, some of the mental cases who join up here would lie about anything ... but you don't seem like a mental to me.

Before you know it they make up an elaborate ruse involving a change of name & greek-latin confusion, whilst actually still enjoying there original (more & more to-the-point I might add) meaningful name... All the while laughing their pathetic ass off behind their sad keyboard.

If you don't want to spend eternity drowning in the Lake of Fire while Satan claps your manbags between two icebergs, I'd say Salvation is exactly what you need.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Well, some of the smaller, "redneck" towns might not be as accepting as a lot of people would like, but you'd probably be surprised at the tolerance of the bigger cities.
I've known at least 2 exchange students who were from Europe and they were welcomed with open arms.

No, I just had a slip of my senses (translation: I wasn't thinking straight then) by thinking that nobody would change my name, even though I've seen it done to others.

Son, no one from Texas makes up high-finaglin' names like that or tries to speak any foreign language except "Hey Pablo, vamonos" or something equivalent to get the dang pickers back to pickin'.

I know that because I am a Texan, raised by Texans in San Antonio, Texas. And I went to a school known as "The University", when there was just one, in Austin.

Now g'wan and pull that prancy stuff elsewhere, because y'all ain't from Texas...at least not from Bexar county.
